~~2014-ish, rather mid-high grade bussiness-type laptop here, with i7-3540m and 8 gigs of RAM, even in 1v1s on lowest settings possible DE ran only "fine-ish". And, mind you, these specs are, as far as I can see, far above DE's minimal requirements as provided by the devs, to claim that it's not a problem is ridiculous.

People here talking on how streaming on Voobly might be somehow worse or more difficult than DE, but until CaptureAge is released on DE(if it will be at all), DE will always remain far worse for spectating games

To an extent, I guess, the decision on whether NC should be played on Voobly or DE should largely depend on how long we/organizers are willing to wait to see if the DE team will fix some of the problems that they have at the moment. However, given that according to robo's schedule the qualification stage is to start in february(that's just one month and a half!) the chances that DE will be better than Voobly+UP+CA+WK by then are rather low

Hick up? Loads of people couldn't play with a minimum level of consistency till the big update happened. That's a month after it was released.

If someone is to blame here for splitting even more the community is MS.

PS They also failed big time to keep the new players, from 26k first weekend to 11k now and this is partially also because they released an unfinished product. Players who love the franchise will stay nevertheless but I'm sure that lots of casual players saw this unfinished bugged game and said byebye.

I think there are two things here, The product released was ****, and the hype wasnt close enough to the HD hype, what I am worried more is that you dont see new experts in AoC town, just watch the streams and they are the same 8 to 10 people playing each other all the time, which gets boring.

Our current experts didn't become experts in 2 months. There very well could be a new expert starting up in the game because of DE popping up on their steam, but it will take time to know if this is true or not.

I know I have been in the AoC world like 15 years+...,, but there are not in sight even new good 2.2k+ that are climbing

A successful tournament offers so much more than just a prizepool, for example the Nations Cup, offers a chance to represent your nation, team with your friends while doing so and having great amounts of fun. That's before we even begin to touch upon the prizes.

Beg to differ. Brazil B travel to China was one of the most amazing and fun experiences I had in my life. And with some of my best friends in there.
Also, opening our flag in the Hotel event room where we played and placing it in front of our pc`s was very cool.

Contributing would at least involve offering help or asking for issues that need to be handled. How is complaining helping anyone? It’s not gonna make robo more motivated and it sure as hell won’t help getting funds or manpower. All it does is spread negativity.

I never said that they should release an unfinished product. I am also upset about that. However I think beside that it is a good steady development. If you dont see it like that thats okay. I just think it is unfair to say they divide the aoe2 community. If some people just refuse to go with time and try new stuff are full of negativity towards new products then nothing will ever change.

most real casual players wont stay for ranked here they play single campaign and are gone afterwards. and thats also fine. for me i see higher numbers on streams than before except on the streams full of negativity. the guys who just tried to make the best out of it had a rise in viewers. NAC3 higher numbers than before, so if DE is just full crap nobody would watch. yes there are still problems you also can see it at NAC3 I never doubted that but i see improvement and that is promising. we need a game which is constantly changing, if meta is the same for too long it gets boring there need to be changes, shift of strong civs etc
