In response to Melkor:
1) arguably morality is something that comes up in a community. the notions of 'law' and 'morality' (both of which give 'rules of conduct') are very closely intertwined, and it is not too obvious how they are to be distinguished. it is also not clear to me which one was prior to the other. according to plato laws arise out of necessity.
2) 1+1=2 is essentially a definition and it is not unreasonable to claim that all definitions are human made.
