Red Bull Wololo IV

Get ready for Red Bull Wololo IV, the epic 1v1 Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition competition that pits the best of the best against each other in a custom version of Empire Wars. Skipping the first stages of a traditional match to begin in the Feudal Age, Red Bull Wololo IV dives straight into the action to offer thrilling spectacle and incredible competitive strategy.

The global tournament is played across two parts, beginning with open qualifiers that allow anyone to win a place at the Main Event, where they’ll face the top players from Red Bull Wololo III: Gan ‘Mr_Yo’ Yangfan, Ørjan ‘TheViper’ Larsen, Hamzah ‘Hera’ El-Baher, Kai ‘Liereyy’ Kallinger, Darko ‘DauT’ Dautovic, Hoang ‘ACCM’ Huy, Dmitriy ‘Vinchester’ Smirnov and Ville ‘Villese’ Jämsä.

  • Qualifier 1: Saturday, May 29 - Sunday, May 30
  • Qualifier 2: Saturday, June 5 - Sunday, June 6
• Main Event
  • Finals Group Stage: Saturday, June 19 - Sunday, June 20
  • Finals Group Stage: Friday, June 25
  • Playoffs: Saturday, June 26
  • Final: Sunday, June 27

Players in the qualifiers will be able to earn prizes based on their results, and if they make it to the main event they can earn a share of the $30,000 prize pool!

I think there's a typo - the first line probably refers to the first two group stage matches.

I am speaking only about my prize I dunno about others but I can't imagine im the only one who didn't get their winnings, (sweater/swag) although knowing the admins I wouldn't be surprised. Last time they made me spend 3 months arguing with some nerd in the email and this time they just refused to send it or communicate all together haha

While I don't completely disagree, I think this has to be considered "serious settings", when it is the fourth time it is being arranged with these kinds of settings.

It would be even more serious if DE actually had an Empire Wars ranked queue, though.

 

Finally DauT gets invited with the big pros. Must be intimidating.

Gets worse everytime. Next step will be them telling you to send them a sweater/cap.

Settings are what the players make them to be. If you have a roster of elite players who train hard and practice special strategies for the settings of the tournament, then they are serious and competitive settings.

That's the case here, don't think anyone can deny the "seriousness" of these settings...
