Is it hard to understand that not everyone wants to buy a $50-$200 mouse to save some actions unfairly? Not sure why Schmolagin thinks it's like playing a computer game without a monitor to go without expensive equipment lol. This slippery slope argument is really unfathomable. It's just the scroll wheel, I play with the cheapest mouse I could find on amazon (student life) and can do this.

I'm certainly not playing at an advantage to other players by virtue of hardware with extra features.

I know this cyan guy... he is a okish player but no more than 1750 odd.. no freaking way he rapes edie/vm etc in arena.. what a joke.. the macro thing explains a lot of things.. and he is lying out of his skin.. he uses monks almost every game i have played him in BF.. his meta almost always is: fast walls>> feudal>>tower rush with archers and then monks eventually... if he is pocket he makes 300 fishing traps on a 2 fish lake almost always..

Your arguments to justify macros are really unconvincing and selfish.

Incase, if you dont understand what "selfishness" means:
"Selfishness is being concerned excessively or exclusively, for oneself or one's own advantage, pleasure, or welfare, regardless of others"

And if you really would care to make aoc more "fun" with the monk micro for everyone, then you would probabaly advertise and advocate the usage of macros BEFORE you use them and NOT AFTER you get exposed live on stream.

i will have done so if i was a monk player. But i am not, and i didn't get exposed, i exposed myself and that game prove that even with that macro i was losing.

You think it is so OP because you only play with 1600+, try it vs 1700+ at least in imp war and you will see it isn't that OP, it will just allow you to focus in your military and economy normally.

I don'tneed to prove I can win 17+ player having stronger civ vs bad strategy. Based on your arguments you won't change your rhetoric, so there's nothing for me to gain from that. I'm hosting 2k2 Arena 1v1 Voobly MS on daily basis, if you're that good there shouldn't be a problem getting 2k2 within days. Then come and we'll see.

Imo it's simple, follow a rule of thumb, anything that can't be done by normal mouse + keyboard like this it's external help that should be banned, but maybe would be better to report this at Voobly forums

I agree with earlier conclusion to make this macro available to all as another feature, as there is no easy way to make it detectable by anti-cheat and making game-play unbalanced for cheaters.

I've reached that conclusion too. It's very unfortunate, but it appears to be a problem that cannot ever be fixed. there appear to be just 3 solutions

Make macro feature of game+ completely rework of how monks function (IMO best solution) -> no way this will ever be accepted by the entire community. If anything it splits up the community more, and you would end up having players play older patches.

Remove the ability to control+deselect monks from a group -> Even if possible, this punishes those who micro monks this way

Not change anything, stick with the current ways of detecting macro cheaters -> cheaters get away with cheating and can (already) very easily bypass voobly cheat detection.
