Re: Quality of the current casters
"Slam/Comet/Feage/Ra/Dreams/8th wonder/Lavie_Head"?
How do you know slam would stream tournament matches over hours?
Comet is pretty busy and I appreciate it every single time he agrees to stream an event.
FeAge? Haven't seen much from him lately.
Ra? Streaming more and more, but not many tournament matches yet - mostly owing to his time zone, I assume.
Dreams? Haven't seen much from him lately.
Wonder? Could stream, but choses not to. Co-casts now and then are much appreciated.
Lavie? Can't stream, Co-casts now and then are much appreciated.
So, wth all these names listed, do you think you could cover an event like CoT, Nations Cup and WiC? I really don't think so.
People are great at cherry-picking and always were, but it takes a crowd of streamers to broadcast as much AoC to twitch as we already are. I find it annoying that for Round 1 Games in big tournaments, the league stage in the RTS League or smaller tournaments in general, people give me responses like "I'd rather play (the 10th 4v4 TG today)" instead of streaming/co-casting, but for finals/Tyrant events everyone is queuing up and trying to turn this into a popularity contest. More streamers/co-casters are needed. I've set up more than 60 streamers and I appreciate every single of them streaming for the community.
Another thing I read, which needs to be corrected: Events hosted on Voobly don't require Voobly authorization. Where did you get that from, ChriSt? It's solely the organizers/sponsors deciding the twitch channels/the (available) casters.
