argue
verb
gerund or present participle: arguing
1.
give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view.
discuss
verb
gerund or present participle: discussing
talk about (something) with a person or people.
Whether it is a fanboy event is irrelevant. Fact remains, there SHOULD be recaps of the most outstanding AoC events (and the 24 hour stream would be one of them, because it is something that would be talked about), not only to get feedback and make the next ones better, but to bring more activity and attention to these forums. The game is growing, but AoCZone isn't growing with it because 1. there's not enough promotion 2. abundance of toxic members on these forums.
Although I don't really participate much here, I still check the forums daily and it breaks my heart to see so little activity. It seems like the only threads that get attention are those filled with drama. Twitch is steadily growing, we should translate that into more active forums as well, and I don't think it would be hard with the help of certain people.

What counts as a big event? WiC and Nations Cup is mentioned. So 2014 and 2015? Only have a real post every year or so and then just troll people the rest of the time?
I am not saying this is the biggest event of all time. I am saying this was an event, lots of people watched it, as the most active AoE forum, surely this is a good place to talk about it?
From 2017 alone I wanted to be able to talk about EGM1, EGM2, RoTK, Masters of Arabia 2v2, Viper 24 Hour Stream, CotH, RR2. There is literally nothing about EGM1 or 2. RoTK has more but I did have to ask for that! Masters of Arabia 2v2 there is a nice clip about a titanic boar lame all in but no discussion about the great games we have seen there. Here is Vipers 24 hour stream post (If you don't wanna talk about it, just don't post? What is the need to say it isn't important enough for a post). Clash of the Hippo 3v3 actually does has some chat, although no where near as much as in relevant discords given how good the games were and the identify of the winners etc, the last game was a classic. And finally I think there are about 3 posts on RR2 after the event. These were all great tournaments which a lot of people have watched.
Anyway, ignoring all of the above and back to the actual OP. Thanks to everyone who has send more clips in, we now have 25 of the event.
11 It sort of is, it's literally owned by Viper's Dad. :lol:It is important perhaps for viper subs, but this is not viper's fanboy forum.

No, that part isn't really stupid. The fact that aside from maybe one good thread every few weeks that is usually related to politics, all there is on these forums is the same 3-5 attention seekers creating drama and some others who are just here to troll. So why in the world would I be posting there to give them exactly what they want?Maybe if you put just a little effort into reading the sentence that follows, it would make more sense. Just maybe.
Even though the whole post makes sense and i agree with you ,this part is really, really stupid
But just by arguing with me you are redempting your stupidity so thumbs up!
Rofl, I can't even tell if you are trolling or not, so good job if you are. I just took a look at the last 2 pages of your posts, and judging by that you are exactly the kind of toxic members I was talking about in my first post. Now, when there's so many like you here, what exactly do you think would be my reasons to open a thread on these forums that isn't AoC related?Whether it is a fanboy event is irrelevant. Well it's because most people are like you, the only thread that you would open is a scheduling thread or one that benefits yourself ('add my stream'). They just read and don't contribute their own posts, even though aoczone is the home of rational and informed debate.
Who?Guys,
it's way past 2015. Nobody reads BMAPC187's posts anymore.
Wow this BMAPC187 guy can turn every thread to drama thread ,If you don't want to say anything positive just **** kid and ignore the thread.
I was wondering who that BMAPC guy is since you guys keep mentioning him and I never saw that nickname before eventhough I wander around this forum quite frequently. I then remembered to check my ignore list and bingo! there he was! Added over a year ago! Judging by your comments, looks like I made the right call!
people would often discuss what the best army compositions are for different and specific situations; loads of balance discussions too; etc.
Ironically, reddit seems to be a much more interesting place to discuss AoE2 these days. And I think a big part of it is their up/downvote system where the community virtually moderates itself: trolls are immediately downvoted and their comments become hidden to other users. That's the best solution for dealing with attention seeking trolls: ignore them!
Yeah, quite literally it is joke. How is it possible that you don't get it? I find that rather incredible. The last part of your post is a joke and it doesn't take more than 2 days here to realize that, these must be the first forums you participate on.
Anyway, the last thing I wanted to do was get quoted by morons but I guess it's hard to avoid that
If a user has been disruptive / trolling / 'not-adding anything' to the fun of the forum for so long, how are they still here?
*Edit* The signature should be reason enough to not see them on the forums anymore alone
That's because some people are just incapable to make interesting threads. God dammit, how hard is it? Perhaps take a particular BO that was used by viper in some AoExpansions game, and discuss it, raise questions about it, etc. Surely this would yield a much more interesting discussion, as the expansions are #clearly not well understood by experts. Instead you open a fanboy thread like this, which would have no more than 2 pages of "discussion" without my valuable insightHave to echo Carlini8's latest comment "Doesn't take long to realise why it is hard to find any conversation of value here."
