1v1 - land nomad - hardest
As can be seen from Barbarian's POV, the only gold it had found was behind your TC, it missed nearer gold by 1 tile. Villager scouting is built-in and there's no way to affect it.
1v1 hardest - post imp fight - crazy map
Barbarian's gold is covered by trees and walking distance is around 50 tiles. It has scouted only the closest bit of gold that is completely blocked by trees. Since the gold was inaccessible, the mining camps were dropped at stone. Sheep code was also broken due to ridiculous amount of sheep (had that already fixed though, however the sheep would probably end up blocking some villagers but that can't be avoided). Aggressiveness against walled castles and mangonels was again too high. The broken sheep code eventually broke food gathering, causing most shepherds (30-40) just idle in a loop.

Barbarian was late to advance to castle age after a heavy flush war and couldn't do enough damage at feudal age. Eventually the EEW raids were too much. I increased search distance for enemy units for auto-reaction in flush war to hopefully reduce the damage taken from archer raids.
