Original tournament announcement over a month ago.
SBARRO Phase 2 starts tomorrow. The players have played the Phase 1 round robin, come out with various point combinations depending on which civilization they won with, and have been seeded into the civ draft and Phase 2 bracket. All of the action from Round 1-4 can be found in the playlist on my YouTube channel. The three Round 5 games and the civ draft can be found in my latest twitch vod. Random civilization stats from Phase 1 are the end of the post.
Phase 2 will be open casting. Casters are asked to display the SBARRO Banner on their stream when casting games. Contributing to the prize pool and creating a chat command to link back to this or the original post would be appreciated as well.
Games start at 16 GMT on Thursday, 22 April (see AoEZone schedule).
Games start at 17 GMT on Friday, 23 April (see AoEZone schedule).
Finals will be scheduled on Sunday to avoid conflict with players playing in RB WOLOLO Qualifiers on Saturday. This post will be updated once times are decided, as will be posted on my discord.
Both quarter-finals are Best of 5. Civs have already been drafted for each of the 6 players. Top 2 players from Phase 1 have a bye. All the information on the Phase 1 game results, civs drafted, and map pool can be viewed on the very excellent and professional google sheet made by Brohio.

Now for some Phase 1 stats. First off, congratulations to the anonymous winner of the most-picked civ bet on the google form who picked Malians as one of the top 3 civs based on our civ scoring. The top 3 civilizations (and their point values) were Vietnamese (4) with 5 games played, Tatars (5/4) with 4 games played, and Malians (3) with 4 games played. Tatars had their point value changed mid round with their big buffs, but the change from 5 points to 4 was obviously not enough. They won 3 out of the 4 times they were played, and one of those matches was a Tatars mirror. The 100% win civs were Celts (3) with 3 games played and Teutons (5) with 2 games played. Vietnamese (4) did the worse, loosing 4 out of 5 matches; followed by Malians (3) loosing 3 out of 4 matches. Obviously we overrated these civs just as much as the players did 11.
Hope you all continue to enjoy the tournament in Phase 2, from whichever point of view you choose!
