No Age of Mythology, the best game of the franchise? RedBull are going to regret it.
I think they made it clear it's not about viewer numbers when they seemingly announced that a game that averages viewers numbers in the single digits would be included (aoe1)

There are massive AoE1 creators that prove otherwise.
Chim Se Di Nang has 1.3 million followers on Facebook & gets insane viewership anytime he streams it. There’s also Vietnam GameTV which is primarily AoE1 and is constantly making content. I don’t know a ton about their community but it’s primarily vietnamese and they’ve got a massive following.
AoE1 has more players and more viewers than every other AoE game combined, so you're correct, AoE1 is in a completely different stratosphereWhile there might be other platforms, I wouldn't consider it unfair to say that AOE2 is in a completely different stratosphere compared to AOE I, especially when it comes to live-streaming.

Trust me bro, that is info I cannot provide youBased on what data do you refute that AOE2 is the more watched, live-streamed game?
I also show 713 in game for AOE I DE.
There are 4k playing AOE II HD.
17K for AOE II DE (not counting voobly, gameranger, et al.)
What am I missing?
As far as I know Aoe1 still is played on the original version (not even with Rise of Rome), so those numbers won't show up on Steam. The GameTV YouTube channel has 435K subs, more than any Aoe2 channel (SotL at 352K). I don't know how to get stats for Facebook, but I wouldn't be surprised if Aoe1 streaming were popular there.Based on what data do you refute that AOE2 is the more watched, live-streamed game?

So by that logic, AoE4 users are more likely to be the target audience as there are a lot of players who came from other franchises and bought the game/subscribed to game pass to play it.That channel might have 435k subscribers but their videos don't get any views at all so I don't see how that's anything to brag about. If Microsoft's goal is to sell copies I don't think the Vietnamese are the target audience. It sounds like they are in fact the least likely to buy something new.

I remember someone telling that it was coming with a certain Windows version on every new computer there. It was some interview, but I don't remember who.Does anyone know why exactly AoE1 is so popular in Vietnam specifically?

Never would have thought of this but makes a lot of sense. Thanks!I think it was installed in like every internet café as a low-performance-needed game and since they were (maybe still are? not sure) popular, that's how it spread. And that's also how they're liking the original game.
Yes. But wasn't it also, because Microsoft gave it to them? Again, I am not completely sure, but I would assume that the internet cafés had it for free.I think it was installed in like every internet café as a low-performance-needed game and since they were (maybe still are? not sure) popular, that's how it spread.
