So castle age ew has +5 hp too? I really hope u guys wont end up making an even more op azt relative to the rest.
The problem with making too many changes like hun removing stonewall is there will be people infuriated who were using stonewalls activly with huns.
Has ther been any improve for tarkan yet?
Why are all you guys hating on the new expension?
This expension sounds really good, and it almost looks like if it has been made by ensemble studio themselves.
Don't come here just to hate on this nice project.
You can always give suggestion to improove the expension, but you can't just bash the all the hard work done by Cysion.
Now if there are two civ to fix to make them stronger, it's the franks and the britons. Especially the Franks, they are under average in almost every domain since Conquerors, and stronger Heavy cavalry would not hurt them, nor would it hurt history.
totally agree
As of the current status, Aztec pocket on ara will be too much underpowered. It will take forever (both by cost and creation time) to get Elite eagles out, and heavy eagles wont do much when the enemy pocket has knights. Their real use will be in 1v1s (or flanks) when you can just go pike + heavy eagles and kill the knight + xbow combo.
yes, im sure that the final decision most ppl would do after they try it! But its just thoughts. And im sure, all can be changed as mods r here, in thus forum
No I don't agree. I completely DISagree. I believe the whole great thing about AoC, the whole reason why we all still play it 15 years later and every game is still fresh and exciting, is that different units are all useful in different scenarios. You really need to think of real time strategy in this game, unlike a lot of other so called RTS. Not all units are equal... GOOD THING. Not all civs are equal... GOOD THING. Team bonuses, random civs, random maps... GOOD THINGS.Don't you agree mongol mangudai are OP, huns drush+CA is OP? Don't you agree all the bugs that are being fixed in 1.1 need to be fixed?
If not well, why?
up 2 u, I think we won't miss u.
If you don't like huns drush+CA then THE ANSWER FOR YOU is VERY SIMPLE...:
1. Don't play arabia
2. Don't play huns
OMG WAS THAT HARD? LOL..... Wow!
Mangudai is overpowered? What are you playing MICHI WITHOUT SEIGE ONAGERS OR SOMETHING???? LOL.... Mangudai army is very slow and expensive to produce! Mongols is also quite weak in other aspects! I don't think mangudai is overpowered AT ALL. Civs like koreans, goths, saracean, etc completely GG them.
The whole point of the game is to pick what strategy is best for your civs vs the other civs, given the randomness of the maps, team bonuses, etc. I think it's balanced very well considering. There is no strategy that is guaranteed to win, ever, unless you're playing 1v1 huns war maybe. Just because the amount of variation in 1v1 civ war is small, does not mean that the game needs to be changed. It simply means you need to hone your skills more or play different maps/games rather than blame the game for your sucking.
Maybe 1.0c was useful, I can't comment because I didn't play before 1.0c. It's been like 10 years since then and I doubt that everyone wants to relearn all the units/strategies/new civs, etc just because someone with too much time on their hands decided to make an unnecessary patch. Maybe it's a good learning for Cysion, but beyond a small "coolness" factor, I will be sticking with the real game, not someone's fake interpretation of it. This patch will only fragment the small community more and cause negative things.
IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT. AoC is going strong for 15 years with no need for a fake "expansion".
P.S. About BUGS... I know there are some and you know what? They never really affected the game enough to be a real problem! So who cares? Fixing rare bugs that don't harm anyone for the last 15 years is NOT IMPORTANT... it's totally TRIVIAL.

Hear hear!
+1
When I took my time to reflect about this "expansion" I came to the same conclusions. Well said good sir.
AoC is very very balanced right now, we don't need a change. Mark my words that this little egoistical (considering people have to ask for Cysion's permission like lapdogs what they are allowed to stream) project will only make the game imbalanced.
