I'm surprised to have to tell you that this is not normal. Actually it's psychotic.Isn't that normal? It is a cumulation of things you do wrong... which is a quite a long list for Nili now...
You're still missing the point. It's not about your or mine opinion. It's about how CN can act upon it.
Awful comparison showing you still fail to understand the real issue. Go watch that video before you come back to discussion because it's clear you didn't even bother comprehending my words or having a single glance at example i brought up before replying yet again.
It's not about what Nili can or can't do.
It's about having basic human decency and caring about well-being of people who visit you. It's very possible nothing will come out of it and i pray that will be the case. However there is also a real risk Yo's career, financial stability, ability to visit future LANs could be jeopardized by this incident.
Edit: if you don't like videos, you can also read up on it in this thread https://old.reddit.com/r/OutOfTheLoop/comments/nvrv4x/whats_up_with_the_chinahololive_controversy/
or surf through the internet yourself, looking for more sources to properly form your opinion on instead of just guessing (that's what one should do in general in my opinion, before talking about any subject)
I don't think it is psychotic. Repeated offenses causes more punishment, I guess entire law system is psychotic in this case. This is not Nili's first case of stupid jokes, not second also..I'm surprised to have to tell you that this is not normal. Actually it's psychotic.
Judging his activities as a tournament coordinator is normal. Judging every step he take through the prism of his tournament coordinator work is sick asf.
It's great. I think there's a reason professional commentators do this in football games etc, it seems to increase immersion for the viewer, by stimulating both the visual and auditory senses simultaneously.what do you guys think about how Dash often uses run-on sentences, commenting in a slow monotone on things that everyone can see are happening?
"Looks like the knights will lose the fight--unless they retreat, then they will win--unless the quickwall fails, now they are losing again--unless the crossbows don't dodge the mangonel, now the knights finally win the fight--unless the crossbow player gets some lucky conversions, looks like a pretty even trade."
Wow what are you trying to say my man, it just seems so random.
Your """argument""" was irrelevant to the discussion. You're the one who made up that comparison, I wasn't talking about that. Yes, i will always blame you for jumping into discussion attacking others while being ignorant.while you completely ignore my arguments that saying the word Taiwan is not claiming Taiwan is a free state
Good job lying about things you have no idea about, despite context stating different thing already being provided earlier. Seeclaims the Taiwan is a free state
I've seen streamers get their entire careers terminated for showing Taiwan on stream, without even taking a stance on political views.
She didn't claim it's a free state. She showed Google analytics page where Taiwan just happened to be listed as a country. By Google. Not her. BTW majority of those "Taiwanese" viewers were Chinese using VPN anyway. Didn't stop them from harassing her for long months.Career ended because she showed Taiwan on stream.
You have no idea what you're talking about. You're just making up crap to suit your narrative. You just take a high-profile tabloid case and compare it to any case involving China.
Another completely unwarranted and false accusation. I already said earlier I don't claim to be an expert, only that i apparently know about these things more than you.But sure, you know everything becasue you watched 1hour long video about something different.
That particular example, from how you've written it, sounds somewhat bad, but I like the idea overall. When I listened to dash, one of the good things about his casting WAS that I could sort of turn off and listen with half an ear and still stay in touch with what's happening in the game, even if I'm not watching it closely. Like others here are mentioning, it's something valuable that I liked from sc2, for example. The alternative is just to react or analyze and allow your audience to use their brains...but that means the audience is forced to pay close attention to enjoy the cast, which is not ideal most of the time as a "viewer"."Looks like the knights will lose the fight--unless they retreat, then they will win--unless the quickwall fails, now they are losing again--unless the crossbows don't dodge the mangonel, now the knights finally win the fight--unless the crossbow player gets some lucky conversions, looks like a pretty even trade."

If you are "watching" it from a smaller device, be that not-fullscreen laptop or some tablet/smartphone, describing what is happening in more details can be helpful, or like Bloodless said, if you are doing something else and half-watching the game. How much to describe and how, for aoe2, I don't know, but I feel there is some place for it.I’m not sure that a video game broadcast in high resolution to personal devices with tools like Capture Age
This can be said about every caster though. Like Nili overusing words like "relatively" and "reasonable", he even said "relatively reasonable mangonel shot". I think everyone has downsides, better not to focus on them.what do you guys think about how Dash often uses run-on sentences, commenting in a slow monotone on things that everyone can see are happening?

I think the mentioning of professionalism is a good point. Dash is indeed very professional, his tone, his pacing, his vocabulary, it is all very professional, totally agree about that. What I wonder is, is that what we want? The most popular casting duo, Dave/T90, is certainly not the most professional, and that's why I love listening to them. They make it fun to listen to a match, and I don't think it's a coincidence that people like that. Moreover, even if there is a place for the purely professional cast, is it NAC? NAC is built on a premise of a much more relaxed setting, a bunch of friends hanging out and playing some aoe together.Dash has been amazing. I love his pbp style. It allows me to do sometimes something else like read news, check emails, pay bills etc, while I listen the game on the back ground. I don't have to pay that close attention to it all the time and only tune back, when something interesting is going on. These days have been very long. I couldn't follow all the games that closely. Dash-Hera from the first day was probably the best AOE2 casting I've ever heard.
Other thing that doesn't get mentioned is the interviews. Dash really shows his professionalism there. Amazing interviewer.
I think that applied to the first NAC, maybe the second, but not anymore. The problem with aoe2 is tournaments that should be big money are small money (TTL) and tournaments that should be small money are big money (NAC, HC). I'm guessing that NAC was at least partially based off of SC's Homestory Cup (I could be wrong) where the prize money is 1/10th or less of the biggest tournaments and the result is a tournament mostly just for fun. In NAC's case, that number is more like 50% which means it can't be treated as such, so making it as professional as possible makes sense. Moreover, even if there is a place for the purely professional cast, is it NAC? NAC is built on a premise of a much more relaxed setting, a bunch of friends hanging out and playing some aoe together.
Chill bro, it is normal - did you see how they were when Tatoh lost and Viper won and you see the difference. For what I see is a tourney sponsored by GL taking place in GL HQs, they are friends and probably is good for audience numbers so all and all it is normal.Okay; preface, I love Memb, and I'm watching this tourney on his stream for what it's worth. But the constant small open jabs at other members of the community are frankly becoming very grating.
Like today, with the stupid conspiracy that Yo's interview was bad because it's a GL tournament and they're all pissed that a GL member didn't win. Of course, always with the classic cop-out of "that's just my opinion, I always say my opinion".
Well okay, here's mine; it's a stupid ****ing opinion that only serves to show a lack of professionalism and what I assume to be petty jealousy about not being there live. It doesn't even make sense. Neither Dash nor T90 are in GL. Does anyone think that they'd seriously be so severely miffed about GL members losing that they can't pose any proper interview questions? The interview was perfectly in line with previous interviews of the tournament. Maybe the technical/analytical style is just what they're going for.
But no, Memb jump straight to some hair-brained conspiracy theory about them all being in league to make GL win. Creating entirely pointless bad blood.
That's just my opinion. Since that apparently absolves you of any subtle vitriol against others you're spreading to your audience.
Pleas Memb, you don't need this ****. You do great casting. Just stick to that. It's good to stay true to yourself, but it is no vice to think about what you say before you say it. Whether it makes sense, or contributes anything positive. This **** does neither.

And tomorrow T90 will continue to celebrate Hera and Lierreyy at everything they do.Agree. I understand they want 7 games and The Viper to go through but the commentary on that set was difficult to listen to at times. Everything from Viper's pov. Felt for Villese. He's come a long way though and even managed to congratulate his opponent unawkwardly so there's progress there too.
Will be surprised to see anything other than Hera and Liereyy dominations today. 5-1/2's I reckon.
