League of Legends host - just won host of the year at the Esport Awards. He’s done some streams/community games with T90 over the years. Pretty high profile pickup for the event.

I wouldnt use Artosis that is an RTS legend and Dash from the biggest casual game of the world use in one sentence but ok. There are always some people in small communitys with a bit of "inferiority complex" so they would take anyone with kusshand when he comes from a bigger community. I'm happy for the people that know this guy and enjoy it but riot gaming and everyone that works for them does not stand for values i'm intrested in. NAC3 was feeling wise near perfection and if I could swap out dash for memb or ornlu I would do it everyday. Because memb+nili or memb+ornlu or even better memb+daut is a lovely casting experience.

People have their own opinion - how dare they!! How can they be sad/angry that someone that did so much for the community is not part of it!!

A shame he didn't stick with AoE4. The way he left arrogantly the Aoe2 scene although it was clear from the start that Aoe4 was garbage, I don't feel following him anymore. At least it's open streaming, so free caster choice.

That Nili didn't invite Memb shouldn't come as a surprise. He doesn't invite him most of the time, god knows for what reason. Maybe it's personal or business choice as competition. Idk, but it's pretty clear by now that he doesn't like Memb as a caster in his events.

Like a caster whose clumsy comments obligated the tournament hosts to delete VOD's of semifinals?

It's just a shame that with such a small community, you invite two of the other three 'big' casters. I thought it was like one big family. Apparently not.

I personally dont mind Membs english, but it simply is not very good and I don't understand how people act like this is not an issue at all. I mean, it's not like memb makes small mistakes now and then, but his grammar is just way off in pretty much every sentence. Again, I don't mind nowadays, but when I started following competitive aoe, I had a hard time enjoying his casts.
And I think thats what this is about. If I were to organize a big professional tournament and my goal was to attract new viewers to the game and the scene, I'd probably also choose casters that are native speakers. Having someone there with sub-par english simply puts up a (small) barrier for new viewers and you'd have to trust for all of them to sit threw the initial experience and to get to know (and like) the caster.
If your job is to commentate in english and you dont speak english very well, you will start at a disadvantage and you need to win over the audience. So why would you, as a tournament host, even take that risk?
"Being said that", that obviously doesnt mean that Memb should not be in big tournaments anymore. I just think that the competition got tougher for him. I think Dave and T90 are no-brainers, Nili is the host and if you can get someone like Dash who is a native speaker, super experienced esports caster/host and who probably brings in attention and a few new viewers from outside the scene, you have to do that. My guess is that Memb would have been pretty high up on the list if Dash or one of the other guys couldn't make it.
