multiple building queue

I cant find anything about it in the rules.
As I understood the setting right now, the host can choose if it is multiple queueing or not.

I think this is rly imporntant to know, because its a different playstyle.

My opinion: Take it in, it is a nice feature, including much work. Its a big improvement.

We've had a discussion on it, we just forgot to add it to the rules ^^ Thanks for bringing it to our attention again.

In the game menu, the host can pick between SQ and MQ. SQ is the choice you have to use, and Multiple Building Queue is to remain disabled.

to the discussion: what s the argument of beeing against mq? you dont like to change ur playstyle (since you simply can play on like u always did, you have dont have to use it) and dont want to give ur opponent an advantage if he wanna use mq? Aoc wont be boring with MQ.. we just can pay more attention to different things (micro etc), when we were wasting time by producing units

to the decision: I hope ur argument in this case was, that players arent used to this new feature. Since there is not much time to train it, u decided to turn if off. BUT I hope that it will be allowed for further tournaments.

It's a noob feature and AoC is already easier and slower than other RTS games of its type like StarCraft, DOTA and so on.
Don't make it any more worse with MQ.

You want to use it, go play with any other player who like it as well, nobody's stopping you, just don't force MQ on other players or in tournament rules.

1st, u can brand anything "noob" - not really convincing.
2nd, who is forcing whom here? The people who want to stick with the traditoinal way are still gonna use the "go to" + unit hotkey commands, whereas MQ would be double-click (or further selection using ctrl) + unit hotkey. So, allowing MQ doesn't change the game the tiniest bit for people who are used to SQ. Logic, please.

The point is that the MQ option doesnt affect the traditional way of queuing units at all :crazy:

Yes it does affect. Queueing (lol dunno how to spell) is just one of the skills which player must have if he want to be good. It is part of game. As I said ,it is no bug. It was intended so. And it is just another part of game which you have to master to become good.

Correction, speed queuing is one of the factors in the game that can make even the dumb players look good and prevent players who are better in other aspects of the game from competing cause they either dont have optimal hotkey setup or just slow or even have handicaps (i know a lot who fall in this category).

What you guys are trying to do is retain your "I'm such a great player cause it took me 10 years to make units as fast as I do now" status by preventing others from queuing units more efficiently.

This plain selfishness in the community is just an eye sore to new comers and even people like me who are disgusted by it.

Seriously? It takes like 30 games to learn whole new set of hotkeys ,I did change them two times, so how many games it could take to learn queue by numbers and not HK?
Long story short, you are just trying to change one of many aspects of game in which u lack skill just because you are not capable (or just lazy) to do it better, so actually you are the one who is trying to prevent players using one of their advantages.
Are you really trying to tell me that fast players are dumb? You are the one who is not able to adapt to game so you are trying to change it and everyone who disagree is jsut dumb who is winning games thanks to fact that someone can queue units in one sec faster and is not able to adapt to new "better" options.. whoa another ridiculous conversation.

Huh, i play faster than most people yet I welcome this change. Look at your attitude for example, you will go at anything to preserve something that makes u actually look good compared to others. I don't think selfish, try it for a change.

But I do not like MQ and I do not see reason to call me dumb or think that I take it to my advantage that I can queue units a bit faster than someone else. Also it is no reason to tell that I am not able to adapt to change.

Ok since english isn't first language, let me reiterate the pharse "it makes even the dumb people look good". Let's say you are a born ****** and can press keys fast then you would fall under the dumb but good category. But if you are a smart (i.e not a dumb) and fast player, you don't fall in the dumb category. Get it or want more translatings?

Stop it with the "don't call me dumb"-stuff, plz. That's clearly not the point.

When farm-queueing / villagers starting to work automatically after they finished a lc/mc/mill were introduced, there were the same discussions. Since the release of AoK there have successively features been added to make the game more convenient in order to actually focus on the important stuff. No one is taking anything away from you. If you want to stick with SQ, please do. Keepin' it real would mean going back to AoK though ...

I never played aok, I payed for AoC Gold Edition which is full game and SQ is part of it. And as I said SQ is not bug.
