This is just absurd.Lol @ Melkor, just accept the fact that arena players can’t keep up with the rest even on arena (and loosing to a Trush is not being able to keep up - other players managed to defend from it as well).
Same argument goes for the seeding. Those arena players that won their respective rounds (like you) still got eliminated once they faced a top overall player. I think arena player are to one dimensional when it comes to adapting to strategies outside of arena meta
Why on earth would arena only players ever practice anything that involves feudal age towers. There is no point at all, and its just an area of the game they have little experience in (for good reason).
By nerfing walls, trush becomes an ok strategy, and suddenly players who have practiced castle age fighting all their aoc career, have to suddenly relearn the map they like, whereas arabia players already have expertise in this field.
Please explain why it proves that arena players cant keep up with arabia players on arena, when they change the map to such a degree where you can now play arabia style on arena, and arena players have to relearn their map. Its just totally illogical.
Yeah I got knocked out by a top tier player, and am annoyed because I think I could have gotten way farther, possibly even into the semis or final. But losing to Viper is not just like losing to a top tier player. Viper is a phenomenal player who basically always cleans up on tournaments like this.
As for the other arena players, every single one that din't get far got knocked out by trush. I wouldn't expect anyone under 2k rate to understand, but the dynamics of the game are completely and totally different by allowing trush to work. It changes the startup BO of the game that arena players take for granted.
Arena players are plenty dimensional after reaching the castle age, its just the feudal where THEY HAVE NEVER HAD A REASON TO BOTHER LEARNING DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS, where they ended up losing. The dynamics of the early castle age are entirely and totally different with the inclusion of trush, and only arabia players who see trushes all the time would know instinctively what to do.
I don't think trush is op, but for anyone who does not have a boatload of arabia games to learn what to do in those circumstances, it can become op.
I didn't die to trush, because obviously I play arabia and would have a better chance vs it so it wasn't necessary, and regardless, Viper can do whatever he wants and still get away with it.
If you want to make a new MoA6 without changing the wall nerf, then you might as well just make it palisade arena, and be done with it.
If you actually want to have a proper next MoA then bring the walls back to normal just for arena. Otherwise its not arena anymore, due to too much of a drastic change in what arena used to be.
I don't blame gman at all for this or for the seeding, because theres no easy solution to the seeding, and theres no way he could have foreseen what the wall nerf would do to arena.
I dont know whether this is just me or if other arena players feel this too, but the whole point of arena for me is to skip the feudal age completely and focus on castle and imperial. I enjoy the map because I've never really liked the feudal age that much and always prefer to reach the castle age even in arabia.
By nerfing the walls, feudal becomes an option, and thus I no longer recognize it as arena.
