that't why I suggest using existing nationality rules (FIFA, olympic, WSVG, UN etc.) rules rather than we make incomplete rules.I said I dont compare these cases. Like twice. I would also make the distinction that Taiwan and Hongkong have higher priority just because of thats how we treated it in the past and because they are very different to FYR, where there are no claims at all that it still exists unlike in case of Taiwan and Hongkong the citizens themselves may do so. But then again how is it with other seperations of a country. I just wanted to express that a rule like: "Players need to be from the same country that actually exists" is just a hollow phrase because it doesnt say anything because the perceiption whether a country exists or not depends on whom you ask.
And if we take olypmics into consideration, then we had international teams there as well, like with the refugee team, or the united german team in the 1950-60s even though players came from different countries ( in the case of divided germany its any case where you can argue years whether they were seperated countries/states/nationalities or not)
As I said before, I really dislike these discussions. And I wouldnt be opposed to allow, to form the former yugoslavian players to form an aoe organization that is on the same level as national sub organizations just due to the lack of player base and the very direct historical ties to one another. In the end its not about what is true or not, but about what is the best solution.
Also Hong Kong and Taiwan are totally different from FYR, because currently they can legitimately participate in almost every single sports tournament as a nationality, without touch the definition of a 'country'. FYR cannot.
