What if the opponent is azt/maya/inca?
This is just genius.Get your ally to make knights and hussars, force Meso enemy to make monks and convert, then convert enemy's new hussars and raid
I never really understand the appeal of land nomad, resources actually spawn like in standard maps, around the middle point of the player lands. Villagers scattered around ofcourse does open the options to build the TC further away from your starting position, but the sheer amount of resources there should force all players to go there. Only valid decision you have to make is: do I put my TC next to a woodline, on a patch of deer or near a stone/gold pile.
Isnt that basic math ?!?! 11I got this from Daut's speedrun 1600-1800 video on his youtube last night. A knight with forging kills a vill in one less hit. I checked it in aoe2calc and it kills as vill in 4 hits instead of 5. I never knew this!
If you enable 'Shift group appending' in advanced UP 1.5 options, you can add units much more easily to a group.
Let's say you want to add 3 archers to an existing group of 4 archers (which are already in control group 1), so you have 7 archers in control group 1. With shift appending enabled, you can simply select the three archers and press shift+1. This will make the entire group of archers group 1 instantly.
Without shift group appending, you have to either double click an archer and then press CTRL+1 (inconvenient if you don't want to group up all archers in screen), or you had to select the archers, hold shift+1 then press CTRL+1 again.
Shift group appending comes with no drawbacks at all, saves a lot of button and key presses. You no longer have to press CTRL+number every single time.
This is particularly useful if you want to quickly group up buildings scattered across the map in control group. In lategame situations this can be very helpful. If you want to add a random stable, SW, castle and barracks to a group, simply click the buildings and press shift+# (# being the group number).
Most people don't know that every game you get mayans, you lose a few brain cells.
