Re: [MoA4] Rules & Settings - Questions, Feedback and Discus
I don't think most people are not against change in particular, but rather against change for the sake of change without further arguments backing it up, swissboy's arguments in particular show that there wasn't too much thought put into it imo. I played a couple games on these settings now (5+, not a lot and not on a particularly high lvl so take it with a grain of salt) and having a no bl scout to start with gives the opposing side already a huge amount of momentum and map control if that is followed up with a monk siege or FI siege push you can hardly stop it, because you have no way of slowing it down early on, a couple scouts in the start are easily countred by some spears and they will also set back your economy immensly. you can stop it if both sides have equally strong monks, but it will nearly always result in a monk-siege early game i fear.
One of the biggest concerns is that it will not result in a more diverse and new meta but rather in the same old one tc-monk-siege push.
How about a compromise middle ground since people are so averse to any kind of change. No concrete evidence to oppose the changed format but hey lets keep things same.
