Does Barbie now use UP 1.5 features? If that is the case, how big is the skill difference to the older version approximately? Just curious ;-)

There's a new attacking system based completely on UP 1.5 features that allows Barbarian to control units as a group and micro them. Not sure how large difference that makes in skill, but its new attacking system is certainly different from the old one.

@TheMax i hope i dont get crucified for asking this... any chance the barbarian will be HD compatible? I loved playing it when it was part of the forgotten empires but then it vanished :/

Barbarian is based on UP features that aren't implemented in HD, so that's impossible.

Almost beating Daut 1v1 in flank war was pretty amazing to see yesterday. Even though they set it on Hardest.

I recommend either manually remove the old files and put 2.18 there, or use the visual mod.

It would actually really be interesting to see how a full AI team would perform. The escape event might be the wrong event for this though, maybe something one tier below that skillwise.

I have just been playing with the new barbarian on the WK full random map pack. I quick walled my villagers vs a drush and the milita afterwards tried to destroy the house i used to quickwall. However, right before finishing the attack animations the attack stopped, and the militia did not do damage to the house. The other milita were just idling around. If it helps i can upload the game (gotta figure out how to do that though lol).

The fast imp monks in Arena is really nice but if they go castle defence then they just blindly send monks into their castle and their castle units, and cant afford to click up so go up much later, then dont even make trebs.

I also noticed it went drush 4 times on different maps with me doing different strats: scouts, m@a, wall and boom. Is drush like the default strat for barbarian?

It grouped up feudal archers and hit and run. My castle age knights got destroyed.

However the timing of their hit and run isnt the best since they often seem to freeze a little asif they are thinking what to do. It felt like the knight was doing more damage then when I would send in knights versus a stacked group that was just standing idle. Still is an improvement of thes tragler archers

Huge fan of this AI. Not only is it the strongest available but it also feels the most human to play against. If possible you should team up with the guys working on "Age of Empires II definitive edition". Your amazing scripting skillz would be a big asset to them and maybe they could even go beyond the features in userpatch. Stuff like more than 5 different difficulties and an option to have AI's on seperate difficulties in the same game would be nice too.

Is it possible to have the old and the new version play eachother? I would like to see the result of that.

 

To install if for WK on Voobly you need to unzip the file in the WK Script.Ai Folder
D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Voobly Mods\AOC\Data Mods\WololoKingdoms\Script.Ai
