Technically 4, Franks lack bloodlines.
They haven't said anything about that yet.Do we have the options of playing in the old graphics?
As Cysion once said, the new civs will always be broken at first to draw people to try them out and then balanced later. If you believe in their dedication post launch, then I think there's not much to worry about. Also, I`m concerned about the balance with these new civs.
Imo I still think that Slavs, for example, is very overpowered with that farm bonus, and new civs (with new units and new techs) might be too powerful!?
But it's hard to expect something like that because it's been 4 years since the launch of aoe hd and the game still runs like trash in steam.
SkepticalHD launched in 2013 so it's almost 6 years and they never fixed glaring issues. Call me skeptical but I don't expect anything other than a botched up money grab.
Expecting another money grab is more than justified after HDSkeptical
He said that, but it was obviously false as half the civs in his last expansion were too weak, not too strongAs Cysion once said, the new civs will always be broken at first to draw people to try them out and then balanced later. First half of it is kinda false (2 better than average civs and 2 worse than average civs), yes, but not all (as in the whole statement) false as they did at least tried to balance it later. I still believe the effort is there tho.He said that, but it was obviously false as half the civs in his last expansion were too weak, not too strong

Everything else is just naive and illusional.
Just look at other franchise and how they milk their communities (EA etc.)
New civs are always overpowered. Just look at those mighty Khmer and Vietnamese :D
Many of the top Chinese players also seemed to believe this right up to the first King of the Desert tournament. That's why most of them went out in the first round 11New civs are always planned to be stronger. And I remember that before the Battle of Angkor tournament when RoR civs where new to the pro scene, Viper said that he believed Vietnamese would be the strongest of the four new civs - after the tournament he realized that wasn't the case, but it shows the point
Is that a version if 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth'? not sure I get the proverb..There's a saying in my native language that translates to something like "How would a donkey appreciate the sweetness of sugar". I can't think of a better example for that saying than kw1k or deathcounter at the moment.
