If you're streaming, you are broadcasting to a public audience where anybody can watch. That comes with responsibilities if you wish to continue doing so, such as not using racist, homophobic or sexist language (plus more besides, obviously).I still see NO problem when a streamer uses offensive words. If you have a problem with such words, then just stop watching. Nobody is forced to listen to offensive language.
Freedom of speech does not provide freedom from consequences, as Odette mentioned earlier in this thread. By all means, feel free to use racist language or go around using 'gay' as an insult. Just don't be surprised when people then call you out on it. 'Political correctness', as you put it, is basically just asking people to be considerate of others and show respect for one another. I find it staggering that this idea should cause such controversy and difficulty. Generally those who protest against 'political correctness' are just expressing a desire to be cruel to others.I think everything is going too much in the wrong direction and any freedom or tolerance is disappearing because of this political correctness. We passed already far the point that political correctness does more good than bad.
