Hey, how come none of the zombie movies showed people hoarding toilet paper
As an expat, I lived in 3 continents and 12 countries and I have to say, Netherlands had the worst healthcare system after US and Mexico. Especially their GPs are the worst things. Always same thing, go home and rest and here is a paracetamol. Virus infection, go home and rest, here is a paracetamol. Bacterial infection, go home and rest, here is a paracetamol. My leg is broken, go home and rest, here is a paracetamol.
Ironically, Dutch people quite proud of their system.
Haha here is a link from expat websites, they are quite notorious.

They think ahead on many of those things! So many countries are giving anti biotics so fast that people are getting immune for them. And what last resort you got versus a bacterial infection? They are famous for their expertise on the heavy sicknesses and good doctors. Many small deseases are cured with just staying home, rest and some paracetamol. So think ahead!
As someone that hasn't died twice when I very well might have. One time (somewhat recently) by the amazing staff at the hospital and one time (long ago) due to some quick decision making by my GP (and the amazing staff at the hospital), I think we're doing quite alright.
As Dooooooooog already said, it's really not a good thing if your GP just dishes out antibiotics left, right and center. That would just create those multiresistant bacteria like MRSA. Your immune system is perfectly fine in dealing with most infections on it's own, provided you give the body the appropriate rest while it's fighting on the inside.
Use official data, nothing else. Now that I said so... is there anyone here who can help me estimating the actual cases today of my country? Here's a video how to calculate. I did the math but I don't really trust it. (It gave me 800 infected or so)
What I'm trying to do is to estimate the actual cases out there. Its obvious that we are going to have more, just look at the video explanation.
Rather than criticising him for his well-intentioned efforts, just realise you are guilty of everything you accuse him of, and just let him get on with it. Or you also stop your estimates and guesses: "They will be nothing reliable, so why do them?" Hypocrisy is hardly needed right now.I don't see the point in these estimates, they will be nothing reliable, so why do them?
I'm assuming, if you're from Argentina (profile flag), that your country does not enough testing, so the actual numbers you would base your calculations on are already pretty bad rendering everything else based on it pretty useless. Besides having all the basic errors in calculation, that you have to include many of the cases in the upcoming days (up to 14 days), that could have been ill already today and so on.

here in Hamburg, Germany, everything is still more or less the same, besides cancelled events with a lot of attendance like concerts, sport events and so on and slightly less filled super markets. At my therapist's door is now a sign that tells you to not enter if you have any symptoms, and I work as a coach in a sports course at the university where we now have to strictly collect data of those who attend in case of an infection to be able to inform everyone to get in quarantine. and I have a feeling that people in the subway and busses are overall a bit more cautious, but that's just a feeling.. thanks
we are not quite at this stage, yet:

In the C.D.C. report, 20 percent of the hospitalized patients and 12 percent of the intensive care patients were between the ages of 20 and 44, basically spanning the millennial generation.
“Younger people may feel more confident about their ability to withstand a virus like this,” said Dr. Christopher Carlsten, head of respiratory medicine at the University of British Columbia. But, he said, “if that many younger people are being hospitalized, that means that there are a lot of young people in the community that are walking around with the infection.”
Younger Adults Make Up Big Portion of Coronavirus Hospitalizations in U.S. (Published 2020)
New C.D.C. data shows that nearly 40 percent of patients sick enough to be hospitalized were age 20 to 54. But the risk of dying was significantly higher in older people.www.nytimes.com
Yes yes and the most important part of that article which I guess you forgot to quote: very few died.
It's also about not causing medical facilities to exceed their capacity. Everyone should be focused on not getting it, or else hospitals will have to start deciding who to treat and who to let die.. and then the death rate will go up a lot higher.Uhm, it's not just about dying. It's also about getting lung infections and also spreading the virus even further. It's actually about young people overrating their abilities and underrating their part in spreading the virus. Besides all the still not researched repercussions as in Coronavirus: some recovered patients may have reduced lung function and are left gasping for air while walking briskly, Hong Kong doctors find | South China Morning Post
I don't know how it's in Portugal, but with gasping for air while walking normally you can apply for a disabled person's pass in some countries.
For sure, thanks for adding that. I was already moving that to the back of the mind as people seem to argue way more often with death rates and I feel all the other stuff around it besides being dead gets a bit underrated. But for sure this is still important so I appreciate you adding that. <3It's also about not causing medical facilities to exceed their capacity. I don't critisise, I state my opinion on the effort. He can do whatever he wants. I don't estimate and I don't guess. I take official sources with data of trustful persons like scientists. So I don't really see your point.
"I don't estimate and I dont guess." =/= "I think you can literally multiply the number of cases by factor 10"It's hard to say, as you literally know just the number of confirmed cases in this moment, but it will take for some people up to 14 days to be knowledgable about their sickness. Some people might be sick, but not going to the doctor (getting tested) nor calling at a central station for corona cases, etc. the numbers are nothing more than an indicator of how much governments test. I think you can literally multiply the number of cases by factor 10 to get the amount of people being infected in this very moment (like somehow including the cases that will know in 14 days, that they were infected in this moment).
Best luck dude, very hard situation. I hope she can do it!People might say young people cannot die from it.
But my gf (18 years, I am 19 myself) is fighting for her life atm due to corona.
1 week ago she was fine and healthy.
Please re-evaluate your opinion that young people are save..
