The Supercasual Tournament
Hi, I'm hosting a new type of tournament that will include crazy settings as known from the ZeroEmpires stream.
The tournament will include team games, ffa, regicide, king of the hill, custom maps and scenarios. Each game played will also have unique special settings. For example: Loom is banned. Imperial age is banned. Siege only. Etc.
To make this tournament more beginner-friendly, players who are rated 1600 or below are allowed to team up with 3 other players with the same rating. Players who are rated from 1601-1699 may team up with 1 other player. 1700+ players play alone.
The tournament will be divided into groups consisting of 4 teams. The group will play eachother over 3 games, where each game excludes one team. For example:
Game 1 Regicide, first team that their king/kings are out of the tournament.
Game 2 FFA, the team that gets defeated first is out of the tournament
Game 3 1vs1. The winner moves on, the loser either goes out or gets another chance against other losing finalists, not decided yet. Depends on how many people sign up.
Players may suggest settings for the games if they have some fun ideas.
Quick FAQ:
This tournament will be so unfair! Why not host another 1v1 arabia hun war tournament??
Exactly, this tournament has no intention of being fair. It's about having fun and giving beginners a chance to participate and perhaps win a tournament!
I live in australia and can only play if other europeans play in the middle of the night, can you change the times so everyone has to do that?
No. There might be an australian group if there is enough interest.
I will only play for money, what is the prize pool??
There is no money prize pool. Currently you can win a steam-game, there might be more prizes if people want to donate, but this tournament is about fun, not money. Will money-prizes make a tournament more fun? Well, 120 000 dollars was put into War is Coming, and i found it to be super-boring to watch.
When does it start? When does the sign-ups close?
As soon as we have enough people, the tourney start. Sign-ups will stay open a little while after that and will close when we have enough people.
