I wish I were, I'd be rich now.Just like I'm not sure you aren't being paid by Microsoft to attack people who criticise them.

Goes to show how **** the standard arabia on DE is if people are walling more there even tho they were nerfed 2 times already.PS: On Voobly, Incas still get affected by Feudal Age blacksmith upgrades, walls haven't been nerfed and towers still have 1080 HP in Feudal. Sounds like a perfect place for you to play.
11I liked your pre-edit formulation better, "ardent" had a better ring than "awkwardly unapologetic". But I'll take it.
I believe DE is overall a great iteration of the game and to this day the best current way to enjoy Age of Empires, be it single player or multiplayer (scenario editor, not sure, I'm not really into that but I've heard it's sadly very buggy). Does that make it flawless? Absolutely not. Do I think devs/Microsoft deserve criticism? Absolutely. On the very subject of team games for instance I find it jaw dropping that it took them a year to replace an obviously idiotic elo system with another absolutely flawed system, when the only effort they had to do was to copy over the existing system on Voobly that had worked for so many years.
What I find particularly ridiculous however is how much of the criticism here comes from people who don't even play the game (like le cracheur, seriously that guy is everywhere but I'm not sure he has played a single game?), or from people who have their very own and polarizing view on what the game should be like and are incapable of considering other points of view.
I think AoEZone used to be the most legitimate place for actual criticism of the game from the competitive multiplayer crowd, but the truth is a glance at the threads here make it sound almost as outrageous as the ones on the official forums.
It's both amusing, and a bit sad what this place has become.

Voobly is the perfect place for me to play. Because Voobly has a relatively popular custom balance mod, DE Balance (a.ka. The Conquerers Updated) that fixes all of those problems, and then some. Including the Inca Trush by replacing the Villager bonus with free Scale Mail and Chain Mail Armor. I do not hear much praise for Voobly's new balance. But I do not hear criticism for Voobly's new balance either. And so I'll take the lack of criticism as evidence it's working as intended.PS: On Voobly, Incas still get affected by Feudal Age blacksmith upgrades, walls haven't been nerfed and towers still have 1080 HP in Feudal. I havent heard criticism for Realms balance for a long time either, not sure if it was due to its perfectness or deathcounters ban.I do not hear much praise for Voobly's new balance. I already said this once but i will repeat. DE was built and is perfect for pros and streamers, with their teamgames and tournaments ( $$$$$$) . I just want to say that there are players out there that dont care about pro level game ou tournaments, they just want to play the fking game and enjoy it by themselves.
He is just aspiring to be a FE employee just like trirem is now, he has been defending blindly the game for quite some months despite the big mistakes, he lacks of criticism, in other topic when i was complaining about how the MM forces terrible encounters his nationalism defending sitaux team crushing noobs all the time.. i mean come on, that shouldn't be a thing, there is just too many things wrongs about team games and their math making implemented, there is not a single logical fix given the small size of the active player base, honestly giving back to the players the control of what maps and settings play aka lobby system seems the only answer to completely remove the map or team dodgers and the noob bashing, but it seems to him that that is an outdated idea and we should all be playing things we don't want with people not even close to our level cause you know others have been waiting for 7 mins so they deserve to get a game no matter how bad it will be.We had a discussion about team games. Then Tarzis comes in, says that all we say should be ignored and then claims that other people are responsible for bad content on this platform. and if you go through his recent content... thats pretty much 50% of what he is writing on this platform.
Now we have a discussion about aoezone 11
I wouldnt say so. The skill ceiling was massively reduced. The new civs are gamebreaking for pro play. The performance is ass for everyone. The queue doesnt really suit their needs because there are too few players on their level.I already said this once but i will repeat. The average player and their needs get ignored everytime , they dont give a fk about us.
Yeah, but still viewer numbers is up, sponsors are providing more support. They might not like playing, but at the end of day $$$$$. Look at T90 for example. He can't do community games as well as in voobly cause of spec chat, but do you see him actively petitioning the devs? Just a few sound bites here and there. Why? Cause LEL is thriving, he gets more viewers, more sponsors.I wouldnt say so. The skill ceiling was massively reduced. The new civs are gamebreaking for pro play. The performance is ass for everyone. I felt like this game is made for people that dont use the multiplayer.
What are you going on about? I'm pretty sure Tarsiz has some of the same criticisms it's just that he (like myself) does not agree that a lobby system will fix it. He didn't say that your opinions don't matter it's just that the same thread (this thread) literally reappears every few weeks and the same people have the same complaints about the same problems and they refuse to hear otherwiseWe had a discussion about team games. who hurt you and did they play singleplayer? You left out the worst sort of people - those who play only single player and just want new civs irrespective of balance changes. Devs caters very well to these people.
Precisely: all levels of competitive aoe2 are being shat on; not by the devs btw, but by the executives. All focus is on single player / campaigns and occasional pvp; its all about the return on investment ratio.I wouldnt say so.
I felt like this game is made for people that dont use the multiplayer.
Just salty from all those threads on reddit. Split Indian civ, we need 2 more civs so the number is 35 and it looks good on civ selection window, always praising devs and downvoting criticisms, i never encountered this TG queue dodging so it is not a problem....who hurt you and did they play singleplayer?
Sure he could say more but generally I like his approach. Also I dont have a problem with people making money.Yeah, but still viewer numbers is up, sponsors are providing more support. Lol you couldn't be more wrong. You'll never find someone less nationalistic than me. I don't even live in France and I wasn't involved with the French community for half the time I spent on the game. I've also got my ass whopped by Sitaux on his smurf a couple of times while queuing for TGs, and while those were not super fun games they happened rarely enough that I don't feel the need to cry about how unfair stacks are.He is just aspiring to be a FE employee just like trirem is now, he has been defending blindly the game for quite some months despite the big mistakes, he lacks of criticism, in other topic when i was complaining about how the MM forces terrible encounters his nationalism defending sitaux team crushing noobs all the time..
he was just making a joke not specifically aimed at you but at everyone who posts on aoezone, the added irony being that he himself posts hereI am refering to this

The fact that he made that joke like 10 times already doesnt make me feel like he is joking.he was just making a joke not specifically aimed at you but at everyone who posts on aoezone, the added irony being that he himself posts here

thats a fact. Pretty much the entire voobly playersbase has computers that cant even run DE.especially when you talk about performance on Voobly being superior to DE...
That's not how facts work though. My personal experience with voobly is that teamgames take a long time to get going, with a lot of fast proxies to make it even worse. In game there is always a clearly noticeable lag and post imp teamgames can become a complete slideshow. This drop in frames has happened to me on DE maybe 2 times. I had a 1v1 game today that lasted almost 2 in game hours and I experienced exactly 0 lag. To be honest I hardly ever experience lag at all on DE. Playing aoe really never has felt smoother to me lag wise.thats a fact. Pretty much the entire voobly playersbase has computers that cant even run DE.
The most players on voobly are from vietnam, india and argentina. On DE these countries arent even in top 10.
And as long as their pings are below 200 the games are less laggy than your average DE TG in post imp
Also if you take players with high end computers like streamers and let them play 1v1 on voobly there is straigth up NO lag. While on DE late game lags no matter what.
Yea, but once a voobly team game gets going, it usually keeps going because you can just rematch with the same players continuously. Instead of having to start all over again from square one, as is done every single day on DE.That's not how facts work though. My personal experience with voobly is that teamgames take a long time to get going, with a lot of fast proxies to make it even worse.
This is just completely false. As someone who played thousands upon thousands of games on voobly (your statistics by comparison)with a lot of fast proxies to make it even worse. In game there is always a clearly noticeable lag and post imp teamgames can become a complete slideshow.
