I did not watch the video, but wouldn't it be worse if someone streams something he/she is bored of? Memb loves to stream KotD, someone else loves to stream Arena or Black Forest, some casters like to cast only the final stages of tournaments. There is very rarely someone who is not the host who covers the whole Ro64-final. RBWs were different, because casters were paid to cast too.
There will be enough people covering KotD 4 with passion, so I see no problem.
I expect AoE IV to be covered by most people for at least 3-4 months. At least until people who did not come from AoE II become bored of it. Because now the competition with new people is interesting. If later it would be 80-90 % of players coming to AoE IV from AoE II still playing AoE IV, it will not be as interesting anymore.
But as people already mentioned, it will depend on tournaments and tournament funding, DLCs and patches for AoE IV. Will Hidden Cup V be on AoE II or AoE IV? For it to be AoE IV, I think a lot has to be done about AoE IV until then.
If Hidden Cup V will be sponsored by Microsoft on AoE II or another DLC is announced, I think it will look decent for AoE II. We just have to wait a bit.
There are and will be more AoE II tournaments in the next few months. So if you are interested in AoE II and have fun watching tournaments with "only" a ~$500-$1000 prize pool, you will still have something to consume.
