But that 50 gold that you "delay" can mean a lot if it allows you to get up 25 seconds earlier and get those monks or an additional monk out faster.
I'm really not convinced that 50 extra gold is decisive in rushing the centre. Mongols and Franks yield a much bigger saving of resources with their hunt and farm bonuses, yet these civilisations are far from invincible on arena. Even then, that 50 gold isn't free, because you'll have to research loom eventually anyway.
People will always remember the games they lose because of this, but it's hard to quantify how many games they win. I think the same thing happens when people skip loom in ara. Someone always brings up the one game in a hundred where a top player will lose a vill to a boar, but they forget all the games they are ahead in eco because they delayed loom.
This is a conflation of skipping loom with delaying loom. If a player delays loom and loses a villager to a boar, it's because they made an arse of the lure. If player loses a set of villagers to a petard bust because they skipped loom, it's because they chanced their arm and got bitten. These two levels of risk are barely comparable.
lol he is trying to answer it with math. but it is just obvious that not making the loom is better in arina
Quiet you. You left the "s" out in "maths" again!
