This will solve some cases but there are still cases where win% in group stage can be same as well.

A few thing I want to mention about Decentring: The trees on the player islands are generated as objects, so you can simply build palisades on them to delete them. This can easily be abused to delete your enemies trees.
Also you can land an enemy and kill his deers (I don't know if this is forbidden because of the no fighting rule?) or keep their sheeps with your transport ship.
Maybe this should somehow be mentioned in the rules to be forbidden.
To make things clear: ping is mostly determd by the distance from the internet (modem)router to the server of the internet provider. So if you live in the 'middle of nowhere' and your downloadspeed is hyperfast it does not mean you can play without lagg. The ping will then probably be a problem (as it takes a couple of hundred milliseconds to activate the stream of data)
Anyway, maybe the TyRanT sponser can provide for the Grand Final a hotel room or two for the competing teams and let them play via Wireless Lan, then there is virtually no lagg (about 2 milisecs xD) However this can't be streamed then...
