I don't quite like the "Group of death" here per se. There're just 16 of the best players, and I think none of the 4 groups are too easy.Group D is the group of death
CorrectWasn't entirely clear to me which matches will be held on which day, but I think I've pieced together the schedule:
Saturday 16 Jan, 13 GMT: eight group matches (BO3)
Sunday 17 Jan, 13 GMT: four matches between the winners (BO3), four matches between the losers (BO3)
Friday 22 Jan, 15 GMT: four decider matches between players with 1 win 1 loss (BO5)
Saturday 23 Jan, 15 GMT: four quarterfinals (BO5)
Sunday 24 Jan, 15 GMT: two semi-finals (BO5) and one grand finals (BO7)
No, they will be randomly drawn as a winner vs a different runner up.Are the quarterfinal matches pre-determined? (eg. Winner A v Runner-up C etc...) I couldn't see it anywhere.
I like the approach considering that the brackets are semi-random anyway and no seeding could be screwed up by this. No, they will be randomly drawn as a winner vs a different runner up.
This is to prevent a player from potentially deliberately coming 2nd place to get an easier match up if there is an upset in their corresponding group.
Yes, top 4 from rbw3 were split up, then the other 4 invites, then 2 random qualifiers.Top 4 players are all in different groups, were they seeded?
The Lord will have a tough time beating these guys :DView attachment 188232
Poor DauT, will be a tough group.
And would be nice to see BacT and Vinch go through as well.

Well, I would say group C is "Group of death"I don't quite like the "Group of death" here per se. There're just 16 of the best players, and I think none of the 4 groups are too easy.
