Imo the decision is ok, but a reduction in prize if he reach prize position would be a good punishment for the tourney, after all we are here for having fun

+1, maybe 25% of what he wins go to future tournaments(or to the streamers).
Manipulation of seedings that is caused is mainly solved with the DQ of VNS_Fast because several players getting a change of seeding by 1 is not that big a thing.Just because bacgio didn't personally gain from it, doesn't mean he's less guilty of the crime. For all we know there could be plans in there to share whatever prize fast could get(just an example of all the What If's this whole incident is causing). The judgement was based purely on known facts however.
One of the most important things here is how it changes the whole course of the tournament. By manipulating seeds in this way, you change the road for almost every single player throughout the whole tournament.
I personally don't think bacgio had bad intentions with this, but not knowing about the rules or not intending to break them doesn't not justify breaking them unfortunately. We would all have to loved to see him play, and I would have loved to own him(^^), but hopefully he'll be back to kick some ass in CoT2.

Why should bac and Fast get different punishments?
1. We simply cannot let Fast continue because he has got a big change in seeding due to this, getting an easier route to the league stage.
2. Bacgioi's seeding is unaffected, so the point 1 does NOT apply for him.
3. No player, we can safely say has been denied a place in this tourney due to this. The only change is a seeding difference of 1 rank for many players.
4. This seeding problem that was caused by Fast will not change if Bac (or even Fast for that matter) is DQ'ed.
5. Punishment for players using another guy's account outside of the tourney is unprecedented.
