Building houses on the side of every camp isnt an economical way to stop drush. And if it makes every game drushwars, way to make game boring.Would probably stop huns being picked since they don't have houses to wall with, all other civs can just build houses to wall off vital points and drush.
man, but u still rape me everytime i use scout arch with spear arch.Arch/spears clerly lose to arch/scouts
wtf all these civs uus are (much) better than the regular corresponding units if you see "normal" units its mostly because a lack of castlesContrast this to the Turkish HC's, British, Chinese, and Mayan arbalests, the Saracen camels, etc. which a lot of people use.
HP.
but this pack expansion pack should definitely be about balance primarily and not just another expansion with 10 new civs and 30 new units, which won't be played by anyone anyway. yes, it's fun to think of new civs, their boni and stuff but that shouldn't be the main aim here.I lament my inability to help this project as much as I lament the ability to get my civs even considered by anyone. Maybe next XPac idea.
I remember when Conqs Xpac wasn't about the balance, it was all about the new gameplay additions, new civs and stuff and not about changing every balance aspect.
The way I see it, there's no such thing as perfect balance. If there were, we'd be playing in Full Tech Tree mode... and who does that?

ye, I totally agree.Actually I think the best would be patch without new civs, just balance patch but I do not mind it.
Tbh, I wouldn't even play that myself. So many people never bothered to move on from 1.0 to 1.0c. A 1.0f would be even more marginal.Actually I think the best would be patch without new civs, just balance patch but I do not mind it.
only a part of chinese players stuck with 1.0. the reason why there are comparatively many 1.0 players around now is that since GR started to support AoC it has been pretty much the starter client for all beginners due to its simplicity and easy use. and beginners either don't know about patches or they don't care. many of them just want to try out aoc onlline once without having to install lots of stuff. and eventually some of them stick with it and the 1.0-version. obviously gameranger also has higher skilled players nowadays. but before GR introduced aoc support there were far less 1.0 players (as far as i remember, might be mistaken though).Tbh, I wouldn't even play that myself. Anyways, my plans are much bigger with this game than "just a balance patch". And if I may be honest, even the new civs are "only a beginning".
