Re: New Expansion (updated 18 Oct)
@The_Dragon: it's just a first draft, nothing special, just to get things started. As for the siege tower: it's not implemented yet, but I found some interesting paths to explore. It definitely won't be added if it doesn't feel right. But since it was a very popular siege engine in the middle ages, it would be crazy not to test it out =)
@GntlMn: yeah, the coat of arms will most likely be replaced by just a picture of the holy crown. Elite upgrades I did too, but that's for later =)
@TheViper: the main problem was that he had no one to turn to. He compared the MS archives to the archives at the end of that Indiana Jones movie. It's huge and it's there, but no one really takes care of it or is in charge. A petition sure won't hurt but I think it would bounce into the same problem: no one is really in charge there to decide over the AoC legacy. (And I'm not sure if 1000 signatures from a stone old community would even do the trick. Not necessarily because they don't care, but because there's just no one to make a decision about it.)
As for good news: deep in the basements of the internet, on a little IRC server somewhere, things are moving and might change AoC for the better (and no, not talking about my project)
