1) Make recorded games play backward when watching recs.
Siege onnies are too powerful. Celtic, Mongol and Korean ones are powerful to the point of ridiculousness.
why? he made a decent point
depends on what map and all, so yes really.really?
Arenko said:we wait too long for this expansion... summer start and still no Beta :/ how time past players r less interested... we need beta version as soon is possible..
After being launched, will the new expansion run on Voobly? Will players be able to play it online or will it be renegaded to single player campaigns only?
I don't think it was rushed, it just wasn't fun for online gaming. I guess the singleplayer aspect must have been pretty good for those who are into that, because it sold fine and was critically acclaimed. That's where probably at least 90% of their sales come from, so that would be their focus.
This is true. This is the reason why we need to put emphasis on the player experience too. AoK and AoC where great fun to play in Single Player. Almost everybody here started playing with Single Player. We need to sustain the medieval atmosphere of the game.I'd estimate that 95% of AOK players are still mainly single player, and maybe 0.5% would have been multiplayer in the past. You have to remember that AOE and AOK were AWESOME in single player.
But it is the dedicated multiplayer communities liek aoczone that gives the biggest voice and can influence when agreed (they make the game competitive and strong!)
I agree, I really hated the level and XP system as well.I probably would've played it more online if it weren't for the ridiculous level system. The idea that I was at a disadvantage just from volume of games, and that disadvantage increased if I ever switched civs. Just dumb.

Indeed, the single player and especially the campaign mode is an important part of AoC. Cysion did mention in the live Q&A that they have big plans for this part of the game, though he didn't (want to) give any more details on it. I'm kinda excited for this part of the game and am curious what he and his team is up to.
In regards to your second remark: do you (and the rest of the community here) think that a certain advancement system would be nice to incorporate in the single player mode? I'm not talking about levels and XP here, but more like a throne hall that gets upgraded when you do campaign mode or have certain rating. Or like the banner thing in Diablo III where you get more patterns, sigils, etc with certain achievements.
