I want you to know its been emotional
I learned a lot in this thread, and Im sorry if you feel you haven't.1k posts to find out that in some situations it's beneficial to forego trade. Glad we figured that out.
I learned a lot in this thread, and Im sorry if you feel you haven't.
When you see posts by TheHand, remember these things:
1. He constantly was pausing during our matches because his laptop couldnt handle playing a 20 year old game. He disconnected once but doesnt bring that loss up. He had to put his laptop in the freezer periodically to allow it to cool. I find this personally pathetic, and wouldnt trust him to wash my car, despite the big words. I could go buy 500 laptops that can play this game and my financial situation wouldnt change.
2. In the two games that his computer handled, he made 8 trade carts in each game. Thats basically idiotic. Its not enough to matter, plus your fixed costs like markets and caravan take a larger proportion of your costs. This is your expert who accepts my challenge? Ive made more trade carts by accident than he makes when he's trying to.
3. In the one game where we both knew the rules, I blew the doors off him. He continued to whine about a rematch, but I challenge anyone to watch that replay and tell me its worth my time. You know when someone tells you they are better than their ELO and then they don't know how to get blacksmith upgrades? Thats how I felt. You know when two people are arguing on the internet and you wish there was a way to find out which one of them didnt have their financial life in order in real life, and is also way worse at the game they are arguing about? This is like that, with a clear winner and loser. Every post he makes, just keep that all in mind.
4. Feel free to give him tips on how to make a 9th trade cart sometimes, in the event you want to help him the next time he steps to someone on the forum. Maybe he wont embarrass himself as much.
Robo maybe instead of waiting for 1999 you could close it at 1111?ROBO PLEASE DO YOUR JOB AND CLOSE THIS!
I mean, there was obviously only two possibilities when someone on here answered my challenge:
1. I win and the person keeps whining about it.
2. I lose and go away in shame.
This is just a perfectly natural result of any internet challenge where a clear winner emerged.
Would you rather trust a janitor or an investment banker to running the numbers and helping you make good investments? The problem is just that many of the people replying here are just so far ahead of you in this game, that playing you 1v1 just wouldn't say anything. And please keep in mind, your financial situation has nothing to do with the argument here, neither has the one of the hand
Would you rather trust a janitor or an investment banker to running the numbers and helping you make good investments?
I noticed you avoided answering my question.Would you rather trust the 2k3+ player who studied math on his analysis if trade is worth it, or some low rated player who is not even playing on the platform where competitive gameplay takes place? I advise you against making this about trust worthiness of the person making the argument and keeping it at the argument only.
I noticed you avoided answering my question.
Ive answered your question in this thread more than once. Let me answer it again:Would you rather trust the 2k3+ player who studied math on his analysis if trade is worth it, or some low rated player who is not even playing on the platform where competitive gameplay takes place? I advise you against making this about trust worthiness of the person making the argument and keeping it at the argument only.
Ive never played the map. What is your stance on forest nothing trade using the exact same logic?
Ive been waiting for the 2k3 player to respond that theyve done the math
I noticed you avoided answering my question.
By the way, I don't trust people who don't know trustworthiness is one word.
