If you're accusing someone of a straw man maybe try to make some sense and don't make a strawman yourself. That's a huge strawman you're building. You can use that argument for every balance change replacing "trush" with whatever the new offender is. Trush is OP? Git gud and read the map better. Arambai kill everything? Git gud and micro better. Vietnamese too weak? Git gud have more efficient eco to deal with having no bonuses.
It solves absolutely nothing.
We're talking about towers, which every civ is mostly on equal ground (main exception being Koreans) on Feudal and Castle, which is when they're important, specially in Feudal. But you bring up an unique unit (arambai) which is obviously available to only one civ and another civ (Vietnamese) being weak... How do you even come up with such a bad reasoning at the same time than diminishing mine? Mostly everyone is on level ground when it comes to trushing (again, except Koreans mainly), this is not about an OP unit that only one civ can use.
I'm going to make an analogy to further explain my reasoning. If knights had always been **** and people barely used them... and then suddenly they became as powerful as they are now... you could bring up the same argument about knights being OP and needing a nerf. And I would come here and make the same point, that everyone has the same tool, everyone has knights and is on equal grounds, therefore if you're dying to knight rush all the time maybe it's time to start looking at your skills instead of looking for a scapegoat.
I'll say it again, and this is not a fact but my opinion, the change in tower meta is making the game not only more attractive to see but also is further widening the skill gap, that is giving more tools to the more skilful players to win over the less skilful ones (the ones that just repeat build orders without a deeper knowledge). In other words, it makes the game more fair.
Why does it make the game more attractive to watch from a viewer's perspective? Because right now we see every single strategy we saw before with the addition of towering, that's one more thing that is adding to the variety. Not only that but the chaos and panic it creates in players allows for many other variations in gameplay, further adding to its attractiveness..
