Hi, I get an impression that Forgotten Empires is mimicking the match-making system from other esports (SC2, DotA2, CS:GO come to my mind). But in my opinion, at the moment AoE2:DE should take into account the fact that AoE2 has small amount of players for their system to be effective. So, can you give some suggestions to that system, maybe for FE devs to consider? Maybe casters can give their opinions so they can get ranked games to cast easier, and a working method for seeding for tournaments.

I would give some myself:
1. There should have a game room. A player should be able to create a game room, while other players can click the button to randomly go to a room (that match his preferences). Inside the game room, players can chat, choose team, choose civs, host can change certain settings. Host can abandon their host status when assigning it to another player. Basically I propose the same lobby system in addition to the existing match-making process.
The settings to be changed by host can be game type (Deathmatch or Random), team game or 1v1, maps, hidden civs or visible. In the future certain settings can be disabled for change if needed.
I understand that some people can game the ELO system by changing the settings/map or choosing the opponents in the game room. But at the moment I don't think it is a big problem.
2. I don't like certain maps (Rivers). Would be nice to be able to choose a set of maps I want to play (minimum 3/4/5 maps).
3. The chat box post-game should be the continous of in-game chat.
4. There should have a rematch checkbox. If both players activate it, they go directly to game room. In a team game if the host leave, a random player (or a player based on some kind of ranking) can be assigned host.
