Feels like generalization but yes, you get that right.
Now this is matter of philosophy of history. What is and what is not point of history is matter of discussion. But first two examples you provided are not (IMO) reasons we study history. We could actually discuss this in separate topic. It's an interesting argument you raise, but IMO you've based it on an extremely narrow view of the point of history. History as a field isn't just about finding causal chains that explain the current state of the world. There are dozens of other reasons – I won't go into all of them but to name just three, you might want answers to specific theoretical questions (e.g. what happens when a more advanced society encounters a less advanced one), you might want to mine history for ideas that can solve current problems (e.g. which historical societies displayed religious tolerance and how did they do it), or you might just find it inherently interesting. (And I think that last one is the key here, since it's not like we play AoC as a serious academic pursuit!)
I think no DLC will be added on HD. When they make AoE2 DE. I think they may add an expansion so give ppl some reason to move to Windows Store as if they dont for most ppl there will be near to no reason to leave Voobly WK or HD just to have the same game and content one more time.
The Slavs represent their namesake Eastern European peoples that later become the founders of Russia, Ukraine and many other Eastern European countries which use the closely related Slavic languages. The Slavs civilization is mostly representative of the Western Slavic identity of the Kievan Rus', whose semi-autonomous principalities and city-states covered much of modern-day Ukraine, Belarus, and Western Russia.
If you made it this far, then you have fully endured the shitposts and stuff I have to clear up on reddit as a mod daily.
Yikes. That seems a bit... harsh? Deleting threads for posting a civ idea? Is that not a bit free speech impeding?
Most of this stuff or something similar has already been done.im not really waiting for more civs to appear, but if they do, we can think of some interesting team bonuses / civ bonuses.
what about those team bonuses:
- +1 or +2 loom
- no need for building barrack before archery or stable
- monk healing more effective (+25% castle/ + 50% imp)
- + 25% building fire attack
civ bonuses:
- start with one extra scout
- ability to tame wolf / tiger to use for scout or drush
- Unique Tech: recycling - deleting a building returns part of its stone (25% castle/ 50% imp)
Most of this stuff or something similar has already been done.
