Other changes could be by having players spawn not in a circle but rather in a line where the distance between each player and his opponent is equal. Now distance plays less of a role when it comes to fighting your opponent.
The players in the middle of the map still would benefit from going mobile units altough it is also likely that they will be pressured or forwarded, while players on the flanks of the map might have an easy wall off and could play more support or boom role. It will definitely be interesting to see how that works.
Another idea is to have positions reversed, so flanks are in the back and pockets are close to enemy in the middle of the map.
So many possible ideas and combine all these with fixed positions and there is a ton of options that all might create interesting games and of which one might even create more versatile games than the standard tournament settings of players spawning in a circle, with random position of flank or pocket
