Format |
- Qualifying Weekends
- Open to all European Residents to sign up. Each Weekend 45 players will be accepted to play in a 32 player Single Elimination Bracket. 32 players and 13 spares.
- LAN Finals
- The winners of each Qualifying weekend will travel to the Gamescom LAN in Cologne Germany to play the Finals. This will be another Single Elimination bracket held on Saturday 26th August.

- Availability
By signing up to each Qualification you confirm that you will be available to play the weekend of the Qualifier, between 11-16gmt. During the qualification you will be expected to play all matches during the weekend. There will be no delays.
By signing up to each Qualification you confirm that you will be available to attend the Gamescom LAN Finals between August 25th - 27th.
Players will be seeded based on their 1v1 ladder ratings. (Highest + Current (at the end of signups)) /2

Restarts
Players are entitled to 1 restart for each set, called before 4 minutes (4:00) in game time, unless there is a bugged map in which case a restart will not be used up.
Bugged maps are where any food resources are 100% blocked or where there are less than 3 faces of your main gold or stone available to mine. Must be called after 4 minutes game time or have a screenshot for the admins. If you are unsure please pause and ask.

Availability. By signing up to each qualifier you confirm that you will be available to play the weekend of the qualifier between 11-16gmt on both Saturday and Sunday, and that you are able to attend the Gamescom LAN 25th-27th August.
Residency. By signing up to a qualifier you confirm that you live in Europe.
You will actively monitor the event Steam group and reply within a reasonable time-frame to any admin requests. Players will be online and ready to play within 10 minutes of the scheduled starting time.
In the event that a player is late to a Qualifier, withdraws or qualifies in a previous Qualifier, then all lower seeded players will move up one.
If a Finalist is unable to attend the LAN final for any reason then the runner up from that qualifier shall replace them. If the runner up is also unable to attend, or has qualifier in a different Qualifier, then the other remaining runner ups will play off for the Finalist position.
All games are to be played on AoEHD with all expansions and the latest patch.
Each player must email their recorded games POV to [email protected] immediately after the end of each match.
Civs may not be repeated within a match.
In the event of a no-TC start (Steppe, Nomad) – that is a start where players do not have Town Centers but only villagers:
a) the first buildings constructed must be either a Town Center, Mill, Lumbercamp or a Dock.
b) No Barracks, no Palisade Wall and no more than one House may be built until the first TC is up.
c) No fighting is allowed until both player’s TC is up.
Any graphic changes that only affects the player’s AoEHD are allowed.
Cheating is not allowed under any circumstances. Players doing any kind of cheating will be disqualified and banned from future EscapeGaming events.
Players must play on a known nickname and must play on their own account. Players must not play for somebody else
