DemEyesRed Arena Cup

Hey guys!

I am excited to finally announce the first tournament that I am going to host: DemEyesRed Arena Cup (DERAC). Since we had quite some great events that focused on Arabia or different Random Maps, I decided to put a spotlight on Arena once again. Similar to what Killer B did last year, I will also go for a single weekend and chip in with a prize pool of $350.

To advertise the tournament, I have teamed up with 6 Arena experts to create an Arena 1v1 civilization tier list. Each tier contains a handful civs that we analyze on a theoretical as well as on a practical level. While I highlight aspects of each civilzation's tech-tree, the experts back me up with practical information about Imp-Options as well as potential weaknesses. The first episode is available right now (adding the newest episode to the list every weekend):

8 players with the highest elo will be able to qualify and the registrations are open till March 17th, 23:59 GMT.
Furthermore, please only apply, if you are available to play the first round between March 18 and March 29. The timing of the first round will be scheduled between you and your opponent. Also, you will need to be able to available to play the semis/finals on Sunday, March 31st.

To make things more special, Chrazini has prepared a new version of Arena for this event, for which you can check out the differences further below. This map is going to be the one being used for the entire tournament. Players are asked to get the file via Voobly to receive the latest updates:

I am fully aware, that there are people who like Arena and others who simply hate it (as it is normally the case for any other thing on this world), but my aim is not to confirm prejudices, but instead, I will provide you all with a single weekend of a solid and clean tournament.

The tournament will be streamed on my own channel exclusively and there will be (beloved) co-casters for every matchup.

DERAC_Arena & the differences from standard Arena:

• Most units and objects have been changed to fit the middle eastern theme.
• The elephants have the same amount of food as a standard boar (340 food).
• The speed of the elephants has been slightly decreased to make up for the faster attack animation.
• Extra resources can no longer spawn unfairly inside a players base.
• Elephants and Zebras will always spawn inside the walls.
• One of your starting goats will always start in your possession.

I know that the tournament is over now, so it's probably very unlikely we will see future Arena 1v1 tier list videos, but is it possible to release a list of civ rankings from best to worst. I am really curious to see how the whole clown community ranked certain civs.
