This is certainly something we'd love to work towards; however, with how some players treat punctuality, this would not currently work, and I'm afraid it would make these breaks look even worse as we would have to constantly deviate from the proposed timer.

How about you start the games at the agreed upon times (i.e. after the 10 minute count-down timer)? If a player isn't in the game, that team has to play with 2 players (or just straight up lose due to WO).

people not beeing on time can be helped with game loss + loss of prize money for the team. Although team games will naturaly take more time in between games since more people talk about strategy and team composition is harder to figure out and more people simply means more connection issues.
If you want to cut out the time teams need to strategize have them draft a day or a few hours before so you can expect them to show up with their team compositions figured out and ready to go after each game.



The cameras were pretty useless i dont need 6 boring bedrooms to make the field of vision even smaller. Cameras also means no delay and more option to cheat.

In the past players had their prizes penalized by the world's greatest aoe2 coordinator/admin/host/player nili for something as idiotic as changing colors mid series. i think aoezone would be fine with players getting fined for actually substantive reasons

I think this is already the case in current tournaments? Would have to check if it's BoA or some other recent tourney that penalized player's prize pools by a % for being late etc

They won't get penalized, admins won't do that to their so-called "friends" unless player is a no-name who is trying to breakthrough.
