In the last 3 years I have played and won more arena TGs than any other top 100 player and in all this time I have not seen a more powerful and broken strategy in those settings. So here is my modest take on this matter as the self-proclaimed-greatest-TG-arena-player-in-the-history-of-the-universe:
2 castle arambai strategy is OP and has ruined arena TGs.
Most if not all of the reasons for it have already been written. I might add that for 99% of player population the execution of 2 castle arambai push is way easier than the execution of proper defense (which obviously does exist). And this is why the strategy is ruining arena TGs.
For the remaining top 1% of players who do posses the skill and knowledge required to properly counter it (across all 4 given civs as a team) they mostly don't know the strategy because they haven't played enough ranked TGs to run into it and get destroyed by it (that holds true for most top 50 players, Nicov being one of the exceptions).
Another reason is it completely destroys random teams because as long as you have one "pleb" who doesn't know exactly how to prepare if enemy picked burmese, then that guy will certainly die to it and all of a sudden the game becomes 3v4.
Of course all of this wouldn't be a problem if random civs were allowed and burmese would only get played once in a while. But some people want to win. Even if it's in the same fashion 100 games in a row.
