(If this tournament becomes as popular as 1v1 tournies usually do. Remember CoT, I think you had to be 185+ to even get to play? Which to me is weird, because doubling the size of a tournament only adds one week... And one week is nothing in relation to hosting a whole tournament.)

Yeah, tournaments are fun. I liked nations cup a lot for example, and the format there with all teams getting to play no matter how good they were.

(And it's not impossible that they will just add more spots if >128 signs up, so you can be hopeful )

Going from HD to Voobly was real different though

Like 1750 on HD is easily like 1300 or so on Voobly. This balance patch is somewhat similar to AoFE though which I like

Yeah I'm not trying to scare you away or anything. I just wanted to bring the admins attention to something that I've found to be a problem in the past. I'm 99% sure you'll play. As Genette indicates, they'll probably just add more spots if it fills up. But I don't like the rule being there at all.

That's all I wanted to hear :D There have been so many invite-only, get voted in a poll, be above rating XX, etc. 1v1 tournaments lately that I just felt it's time for a tournament that's open for everyone! And I know you've said before that's how you like it too (the whole community is important, not just the top % and so on).

We had less than 128 sign ups for the previous patch event. Using 128 brackets there were a few bye's on the first round.

So who knows, we may not reach 128 or surpass it. The point of this event is to bring the Balance Patch to as many players as we can in a competitive format, so if more than 128 genuinely want to enter then I will add them in and create something to accommodate them.
