My humble suggestions (changes from 2.2 AOFE)
Man at arms get 7 attack (any speed boosts would make celts too scary imo), with that they can take on BL scouts.
Swords line also gets 1 hidden PA against building fire.
Longswords get 10 attack, 2 hand swords get 12 attack and 5 more hps.
Castle age Woads, Sams and Zerks get +2 attack each. With their high food cost, it wouldn't really change anything major in castle. It does however bridge the gap a bit better once you're in early Imp and waiting for the elite upgrade. These guys are so useless without their elite upgrade.
The changes above indirectly tone down the super strong husk+pike. Goths in return get stronger sword line.
Maybe tone Goth inf discount down to 30%
Chivalry gets toned down to 25%. Cost is reduced 100wood and 100gold. Franks get 25% hp increase for kts line in return.
Maybe give Franks hussars? Their trash is really bad. Hussar upgrade isn't that cheap.
I think the changes above do not alter the nature of the game in anyway, but just make things less extreme.
I like Carlos' xbow upgrade and mayan discount nerfs.
Celts wood bonus down to 13%?
Koreans free LC upgrades?
Personally, I don't want to change the nature of civs. Modifying civs to make them equally playable on every map would result in a dif game due to too drastic changes. I just want good ole' aoe2 with less extreme flaws.
