That's because you don't have a sense of humorNot funny
What? One post directed at a couple guys I don't like, compared to the hundreds of jokes/comments I have made a my own expense in the months leading up to it?I bet you have the best humour sense here, especially when it comes to answering comments about ur badge.
It is very difficult to find people who tick every box as a moderator when we can't pay them. Do you know what Steam do for moderators? Or do they just not have them?On the bright side with Steam releasing AOE 2 HD, Voobly are forced to act professional and provide features to match Steam, and hopefully develop a mature and respectful Moderating staff across the board.
Atleast in India 20$ (1000+ Rs) isnt the equivalent of lunch, here we can have very decent lunch for 1/20 th of that money.
If you get lunch that cheap, shouldn't you all have saved up a lot of money to buy AoCHD by now?

There is a difference between price and value for money. We can get AOFE+Voobly for FREE with the balance fixes, scenario editor objects, new civs and balance and campaign patches throught the year. And AOC-HD is something you have to pay and what you get is an old aoc witout the stuff mentioned but strange cliffs and water,a supposedly better multiplayer which will most likely flop if MS dosen't support it and a registration system that seems to be designed more for social networking rather than gaming.
Here, one doubts whether it's WORTH PAYING FOR SOMETHING WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE SOMETHING THAT'S BETTER.This is what I meant.

If there was a good service, it would be able to support itself with donations
yeah, few of the random pirates will buy anything ever, but AoC has many legitimate and employed people in the community.
We don't pay him, he owns Voobly so therefor all of the profits go to him (this has always been the case since the start of IGZ). But as he said, if we were paying him for his time we would be in hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt. If it were just about money he would be far better off doing freelance work.Yeah, it was normally when the finances could afford his time. I'm clueless about how it's run now since he's actually doing a lot of work at the moment. Perhaps he bought the business out.
