The last comment, the one that ask about insiders being able to test it before official release is the main moderator from the official forums. I'm starting to have second thoughs about this update...hope he's just being cautious
I'd actually personally prefer if they didn't add a separate matchmaking for EW but just added a few EW maps(with EW settings) into the 1v1 map pool and then depending on community feedback maintain like 0-3 of them
Separate EW means either that the 1v1 ladder will have significantly fewer players or that nobody will use the EW one
I'd estimate the chances of that guy having access to the update to be around 5-10%The last comment, the one that ask about insiders being able to test it before official release is the main moderator from the official forums. Yeah, I don't think he actually played it, but, you know, if he says it, he surely have his reasonsI'd estimate the chances of that guy having access to the update to be around 5-10%
Testing a patch before releasing it should sound reasonable whether you are a moderator on the official forums or not I feelYeah, I don't think he actually played it, but, you know, if he says it, he surely have his reasons
RM Ladder is RM. Pretty much thats all. Thats why Fortress would never be Regi. I dont think they can just add Fortress with regi in there but would need to adjust their system just for that map.I'd actually personally prefer if they didn't add a separate matchmaking for EW but just added a few EW maps(with EW settings) into the 1v1 map pool and then depending on community feedback maintain like 0-3 of them

I would hope it just "quickly" adds you into a lobby with the same settings, but I am willing to bet it's just splitting into another dumb split.I don't get the quickplay at all.
It seems to be completely separate from the current ranked matchmaking and it's split into 3 gamemodes on its own
So essentially we'll have people who play: quickplay RM, quickplay EW, quickplay BR, ranked 1v1s, ranked TGs...
in what world is anything of that going to be "quick"?
Obviously it's pointless to judge it before it comes out but while I really appreciate all the effort they are putting into this game I really wonder if quickplay is something anyone actually wanted. I hope it doesn't end up affecting the standard ranked matchmaking.
Not too sure about that, would increase the number of people who drop in the first seconds since they didnt get the map/gamemode they wanted.adding it alongside the RM map pool would be the best way to do so
Which game are you talking about?which is already in a very good state
Not only that, civs are finally arranged horizontally. I had some hard time while picking civs when the game first released. It was the first thing I noticed when I saw this image @boabab . Its looking good. We either dont get more civs or we get 7. lul
But if they add one more civ we can get a perfect 6x6 square! Gotta focus on the important goals hereAm I the only one satisfied that the civs you select are finally in a PERFECT RECTANGLE? Focus on important things people.

Say what you want but it looks sleek af. It also probably means we won't see new civs anytime soon. At least I hope we won't now.
Better yet we could get 40 civs and have a 5x8 approximately golden rectangle to maximize our platonic pleasures. But if they add one more civ we can get a perfect 6x6 square! Gotta focus on the important goals here
