I am always open to suggestions on how I can improve my commentaries. It's something i'm working on every day (:
many people that know the game from first years of release and from zone times, they think it is an old and obsolete game with bad graphics and slow played with windows 98 resolution 800x600 with big trees and building size half screen with only experience playing vs pc man at arms rush, how can you tell them how wrong they are?
it comes to my mind that recent facebook multi photo thing, "what other think it is","what you think it is","what it really is"
Another point to consider for small tournaments, is to also open up tournaments for other playing levels. Even if it's only €50 to win, it would be fun if a few 17xx-18xx could duke it out against each other in a one-night-show-off to see who can grab the €50 bill. Because, no matter how much respect I have for the "best" aoc players. We can usually predict all peeps that would make it to the finals. While every vital (e-)sport also has money flowing towards the lower ranks. If only a small part, but it must be something.
It could be an invite-tournament only, simply inviting teams/players that lost in first rounds of other major tournaments.Well, tourneys like that would require a real way to verify someone's rating. Which shows once more that the Voobly rating is just a silly sketch of one's real AoC skill.
