Okay, equating me saying I'm against the idea of returning to the ranked lobby system to someone defending sexual assault is a huge and bizarre leap, so thanks for taking us on that journey.100% I can't confirm that. I don't know why you talk out like that - its not rose tinted...
I have more worse games in ranked system and more wait time by ranked system.
My personal expierence is and was - ranked lobby system >>> ranked with solid mappool.
I think you were just not able to use and read the ranked lobby system properly.
We are talking here about alt f4 and you just drop by because you see your 'lovely' ranked system gets attacked. You contribute nothing to the thread here.
Its the same like we would have a thread about pervet priests and you drop by and sasy 'yo guys im slightly baffling that you are so harsh on the church - my expierence is great'.
Or in a thread about rationalization and missing investments in the education System - you come and drop by 'I am 100% dead set against your ideas. My expierence was not miserable'.
There is a saying were I was born - people understand the most things wrong - but feel the most things right.
And to focuse more on your problem of the bottom ladder. Between a 500 elo and a 900 elo player is alot of space. But most of the community would say both are noobs. In the ranked lobby system is up to you as a host to balance the game. If you get smacked - you did something wrong - one way or another.
Paint was bringing ranked lobbies up as a potential solution to the Alt-F4 problem, and I'm expressing my strong disagreement with the idea. Hardly irrelevant to the discussion.
Voobly offered a pretty miserable experience for a lot of players at the lower end of the ladder because the ranked system didn't work well for creating fair games. Yeah, sure, you could create a game against whomever you like - but my point is that it was incredibly difficult to know whether you were creating a relatively even game or not. It disincentivised me and many others to continue playing and was a hugely frustrating experience, whereas DE's matchmaking system is pretty damn good for 1v1s across a lot of elos.
