This looks a bit like White and Black peaces in chess, and openings. There are very weak responds on some openings, and these are not played. Instead, players worked 2000 to improve chess innovating new openings and strategies. Noone didn't think to change chess  Pawns in chess look like sux units, but if u look a master 2.5k he would make good job with them, because he knows to use them good. After that, looking how he beats with pawns, opinion changes, and there could be an idea to reduce its power with changing chess. We now have an explosion of masters of Huns. Lets reduce power of Huns. :D

I would agree 100%, but in AoC, there's more than 1 civ. In chess, both players are essentially playing the same civ. ^^That comparison fails.
If you want to fix AoC here is how to do it.
Ready?
Ok.
New option for "pick civ" called "Random Matched"
A Random Civ is picked for both players so both get SAME random civ.
AoC fixed

This could be interesting. Really 40 CAs ,one TC with 3 farms and 40 vills on wood is not interesting anymore. 11Honestly, take away the huns CA bonus completely or something. They've already got 2 of the best bonuses in the game with no houses and faster stables. Do they really need to have ultra cheap CA on top of it? Huns were dominant even before CA became a trend because of feudal so things will stay relatively the same if you took away their bonus.
To me looks that: drush, flush with some archers, get castle, and some pikes, some eagles, skirmish, some mangonels and CA shouldn't be a problem. If Astecs wants to prevent raids, simply make houses around base (he will make houses anyways, so he just wall up around) Before castle, Astecs can do a lot (some drush, with stealing gold with tower, preventing him to wall... ). In castle combination of: pikes+ eagles+ skirmish+ some archers is powerful vs Huns. Just look on option if Astecs add some rams.
He can hit and run with about 20 CA, killing some pikes and some eagles, but if u have there some skirmish (20 units) u dont even need to attack him. If he stands there he will get damage.
Observation2: if u change 14 to 35 gold in market, its like having unlimited gold in game. Just look on Mongols, if u add that, civs like Britons vs Mongols

The only people who should be posting in this thread about balance issues are people who have played for many years and at a 2000+ level consistently.
