Idk it feels weird to give them an archer bonus.I still like my idea of giving their xbow +1 pierce armor, so they just have another foot soldier with extra pierce armor.
Just see it as a pierce armor bonus for foot soldiers, another anti archer bonus. I mean if I were a goth xbow, I for sure would try and get some armor of a dead huscarl mate 11Idk it feels weird to give them an archer bonus.

You know in AoC Goths were the only civ with 2 unique techs (back then no castle age UT). That gave a distinctness... So give them an additional UT? Not sure what it could be tho

- helps dealing against early potential drush raids: slight eco boost in dark age
- +50 gold starting in late dark age
- one villager more starting in the feudal transition: then again slight eco boost in feudal
- great synergy with drush (don't need to take gold to make 5 militias) without being too overpowered like the -35% bonus. It's a bit like giving them the 35% bonus but only for the first 5 militias. Then they can't stay in dark age, they have to transition to feudal if they want to sustain production, giving time to the other player to react.
- They can use the bonus to make a man at arms rush, but starting to make the militias in dark age (that was the weakness of the goth maa rush, being forced to delay the production until feudal kicks in)
The more I think about it the more I'd like to see that.
