As the forum of the new tournament does not let the majority of the participants of this website post, I want to communicate here not only my personal position, but also the opposition that it generates as it has been managing the whole new system of tournaments that has the main ones referents of AOE in Twich, Nilpferd, Memb, among others, that in its commitment to reinforce its profits in its channels, leads to generate elitist, exclusive competitions, ignoring that communities are made by inclusion.
The result of tournaments for the best players, that is to say constant and frequent tournaments for a few, gives them at the moment a great amount of brokers in their channels, but it diminishes and ends up breaking the communities that make this game strong. In my case I participated in two clans, which during tournaments such as the SY Nation Cup, or the recent World Cup 2v2, were affected by a large number of players training and playing in voobly AOE 2, which due to the lack of motivation due to the absence of competencies designed for all, have died.
The problem with these tournament formats is that they do not aim to increase or motivate the players in the community who are still very few, although the game has increased the number of players a lot of people are leaving it, and I see it in my community in Uruguay, due to the lack of tournaments designed for everyone. The tournament format should be inclusive and not exclusive, not only in the case that LaaaN plans, but in everything, the model to increase the number of players is the model of the SY Nation Cup, but unfortunately we have been listening to the people who are in the organization of tournaments to write here again and again that the tournaments should be attractive and include the best players. It is always attractive to the viewers of their channels, we are not all who play, I have heard Memb say many times.
These tournaments are not bad, but the base of the community of the game comes to play, and wants to participate not only look, and I do not see what is the problem with including in a tournament of these with great prizes, qualifications that incorporate all, to any type of player.
When the last Master of Arena was developed, in a post Memb clarified that the tournament was not attractive because players like Viper had to face players 17. This is what makes the community great, that player plays with Viper, because his whole group is weeks to the expectation of this game, many people speak for discord, coordinates to train, beyond that obviously Viper will win That game, these things are what make people motivate. In the end these tournaments are going to saturate, they are already doing it, to the public, and the players that we are frequently in voobly will get bored, or moving to other games that do have tournaments for everyone. Personally the tournaments designed for viper, daut, tatoh, lierrey, jordan, nicov, that is to say the usual players, do not call me at all, and as I am a frequent player I know that a lot of people no longer call them.
