I think that there is where fayt has gone to as well. God damn betrayers! ^^wont talk about aoc but last week we won a lol tournament here, we got like 25USD each 11
Are you lol expert like Tim? :D
The International 2013 (Dota2 championship) prize pool = $2,874,381
1st prize = $1,437,190 (again Scandinavian victory! )
Part 1 of the finals in English (also available in Russian, Chinese & Korean).
PS: the dude on the right (Dendi) is definitely on dope!!!
Well, it's easy to play, but hard to master, just like AoE. In fact after release Dota2 was criticized for its steep learning curve. Now daily play exceeds half a million concurrent players.much easier to pick up and play makes AoE2 so unlikely to ever become an esport.
Yeah, I 'wasted' a couple of years myself on that.I used to play Team Fortress 2 competitively and over the two years I played had over 1600 hours of game time
Would be sweet indeed! But I wonder what kind of career you would have afterwards....If I could do that and take home ~200k a year too I'd be pretty damn happy with myself haha.
Heheh! Do you think his answer would have been different?Jaraldo said:Part 1 of the finals in English (also available in Russian, Chinese & Korean).

I disagree just judging by the numbers how LoL has been growing. For example season 2 LoL finals atracted 8million viewers, wich was the highest in any esports so far, but on Season 3 finals the number jumped to 33million. If you look at twitch games i can't remember when LoL wasnt #1 watched game and it almost always has atleast 2x times more viewers than second highest. It just seems like LoL is easier build (by oranising and game in generals) for viewers and as a esport.I can foresee DotA overtaking LoL eventually, it's much more accessible I think.
at all of this you still seem to forget LoL still, has 10x more active gamers.@Jupe, a lot of DotA2 viewers actually watch high level tournaments from within the game; you can actually watch the matches with live commentary from inside dota2, removing the need for twitch tv. That's at least how the internationals worked to some degree.
Also, have a look at this: http://steamgraph.net/index.php?action= ... 570&from=0
It's the concurrent player number graph for Dota2 since release, quite astonishing.
Nope, it seems Dota2 took over this year, see here.at all of this you still seem to forget LoL still, has 10x more active gamers.
Check the links. If some NA gametime counter changes its not legit lol.Nope, it seems Dota2 took over this year, see here.at all of this you still seem to forget LoL still, has 10x more active gamers.
This is a nice comparison of both games (also stating the steep learning curve btw Zero :P).
Both not my type of games though; I'm not into MOBA's. A two million dollar prize pool sounds tempting however for a free game.... (trying to get back on topic).
